Vaporesso Xros Series

The XROS 6 and the XROS 6 Mini, the sixth generation of the series. The XROS 6 is the full kit with a colour screen, three power modes and an 1800mAh battery. The XROS 6 Mini is the buttonless version at 1600mAh. Both take the same COREX pods as every XROS before them.

No. The XROS 6 and XROS 6 Mini are the newest kits in the series and Vaporesso has not announced a seventh generation. Vaporesso's own site lists the XROS 6 and XROS 6 Mini as the newest kits, and there is no XROS 7 or XROS 8 anywhere on it. If a new one lands we will have it, and the pods you already own will fit it.

Battery and airflow. The XROS 6 goes to 1800mAh against 1500mAh on the XROS 5, and adds Vaporesso's VENTURI airflow and the 60 second pod priming countdown, neither of which is on the XROS 5. Both go to 30W, both have a colour screen, both charge at 3A, and both take the same pods.

The XROS 6 Mini or the XROS Mini Retro. Neither has a screen or a button, so you fill the pod, click it on and inhale. The 6 Mini has the bigger battery and sets the power to suit the pod. The Mini Retro is the cheapest way into the range and does one thing well.

It is the best selling refillable pod series in the UK, and the reason is the pods: one format has fitted every kit for six generations, so a pod bought today works on a kit from years ago. The common complaints are pod life on sweet e-liquid and battery on the smaller kits, which is why the table above lists battery capacity.

Mostly, and the pod decides. A 0.8, 1.0 or 1.2 ohm pod gives a tight mouth to lung draw like a cigarette. A 0.6 ohm pod loosens it, and a 0.4 ohm pod is restricted direct to lung. The kits with an airflow slider let you tighten or open it further on the same pod.

Yes. Every XROS kit uses the same magnetic pod seat, so a COREX 2.0 or COREX 3.0 pod in any of the five resistances fits any XROS kit, including the older ones. The older kits cap at 16W to 18W, so 0.6 ohm and above suit them best. XROS pods do not fit Luxe, Armour, ECO Nano or Vibe kits.

XL is the 3ml version of the same refillable XROS pod, sold outside the UK. A pod holding nicotine cannot be sold here above 2ml, so every XROS pod on this page is the 2ml COREX pod, in 0.4 to 1.2 ohm. It fits every XROS kit either way.

No. Every XROS kit takes a refillable 2ml pod that you fill yourself from a 10ml bottle. Vaporesso's prefilled pods are the Dojo Blast range, which fit the Dojo Blast kits only and do not click onto an XROS.

Peel the sticker off a new pod, open the fill plug on the side, fill to the line with 10ml nic salt, and leave it five minutes before the first puff. Then click the pod on and inhale. On the kits with a button you can press to fire instead, and on the kits with a screen you pick the power mode.

Five to ten fills, or about a week to two weeks, before the flavour drops off and the pod needs changing. A 1.0 or 1.2 ohm pod lasts longest because it draws the least power. Sweetened e-liquid and dark flavours shorten it more than anything else.

These are Vaporesso's own figures. The XROS 6 charges at 5V/3A and reaches about half a battery in ten minutes. The XROS 5 reaches 80% in 20 minutes on the same 3A. The XROS Pro 2 takes 30 minutes, which Vaporesso rates at two days of vaping, and the XROS 5 Nano is full in 45 minutes. All of them charge over USB-C.
