What are Longfill E-liquids?

Longfills are a type of DIY e-liquid made for vapers who want a bit more control over how their vape juice is mixed. Instead of coming ready to use like shortfills or nic salts, a longfill usually arrives in a 60ml bottle with around 20ml of flavour concentrate inside. That leaves space for you to add your own nicotine shots and VG/PG base to suit. You get to decide exactly how your liquid turns out – whether you prefer a stronger hit, a thicker cloud, or a specific VG/PG blend that works best in your device. Longfills are great if you want more flavour options with better value, and full control over your vape juice. You don’t have to be an expert to get started - just a bit of curiosity and a bottle or two is all you need to get going.

How to Mix Longfills

Longfills are prefilled with flavour concentrate only, which can either be mixed solely with 10ml bottles of 10mg or 20mg nicotine shots to create a full e-liquid, or you also have the option to add a VG/PG base liquid if you’d like to lower the nicotine strength of your vape juice and adjust your e-liquid VG/PG ratio. A higher VG ratio will produce more vapour for a looser draw, and a higher PG ratio will result in a stronger throat hit. Once you’ve decided on the flavour of your longfill, the nicotine shots you’d like to add, and decided what VG/PG ratio you prefer, mix all of them together in the longfill bottle with a vigorous shake for a few minutes, and then you’re ready to get vaping.

Longfill FAQ’s

How do I use a Longfill eLiquid?

Just top up the bottle with the desired amount of nicotine shots and base liquid (VG/PG), shake it well, and let it steep (if required). It will then be ready to vape.

What sizes do Longfill bottles usually come in?

They typically come in 60ml or 120ml bottles with 20ml or 30ml of flavour concentrate inside. The rest is left empty for mixing.

Do Longfills contain nicotine?

No, Longfills don’t contain nicotine by default. You need to add nicotine shots separately if you want them.

Can I vape a Longfill straight away after mixing?

Some flavours are shake-and-vape, but many benefit from steeping for a few days to let the flavours develop fully.

What is steeping and why is it needed?

Steeping is the process of letting the e-liquid sit after mixing to enhance the flavour. It allows the ingredients to blend and mature.

What's the difference between Longfill and Shortfill eLiquids?

Shortfills usually contain nicotine-free e-liquid with just a small gap left for a nicotine shot. Longfills contain flavour concentrate and require user mixing with the base liquid and nicotine.

Are Longfills cheaper than ready-made e-liquids?

They can be more cost-effective in the long run, especially for regular vapers, as you’re buying in bulk and adding your own base and nicotine.

Can I choose my VG/PG ratio with Longfills?

Yes, that’s one of their main advantages. You control the VG/PG ratio based on the base liquid you wish to use.
