Vaporesso Xros Pro 2 Review

I was skeptical about the "40% better aroma" claims - and honestly, I still am. How does Vaporesso measure 40% better? What machine do they have to prove that? Marketing numbers aside though, these new COREX 3.0 pods are genuinely better than the Corex 2.0. I vape the same liquid at least a pod worth a day (Bombo Master Custard), so I really notice improvements, and Vaporesso are definitely closing the gap on the Xlim pods.

As a mainly dessert vaper, I've been testing these with my regular Bombo nic salts and some of Zeus Juice's new flavours which really pop. The flavour doesn't just hit harder - it's cleaner, more defined. You pick up notes you missed before, especially in complex desserts. Is it 40% better? Who knows. But it's noticeably better, and that's what counts.

Would I say the flavour is better than my beloved Xlim pods? Let's be honest - OXVA pods are 10/10 for me, these are a close 9.5/10. But I'm a massive OXVA fanboy, so take that with a pinch of salt. Truth is, all pods by most manufacturers nowadays are so close, it really comes down to brand loyalty and design preference.

You get two pods in the kit - a 0.4ohm (pre-installed) and a 0.6ohm. I've been mainly using the 0.6ohm with nic salts for that perfect MTL to light RDL draw. If you prefer a tighter draw, they've got 0.8ohm, 1.0ohm, and 1.2ohm options. Want something airier? That 0.4ohm pod handles it beautifully.

Here's the best bit - all your old XROS pods still work. So if you're upgrading from an older XROS, you don't need to bin your spare pods.

How I Found It Day to Day?

If you just want to vape, fill a pod, pop it in, and inhale. Done. But when you want to tinker, you've got options. Three clicks lets you adjust wattage in 0.5W steps from 15W to 30W. I've found my sweet spot at 22W with the 0.6ohm pod, but you'll find yours.

The XROS Pro 2 in my opinion is one of the best upgrades for anyone using a refillable pod vape, as it's everything people love about the XROS family with one of the most impressive internal batteries of 2025, at a price point that's hard to beat. Even though I'm loyal to my Xlim Pro 2 DNA, my honest opinion is if you want an easy-to-use pod with everything built in that's reliable and gets the job done, this is perfect. Everything about it is easy and so good to use day to day.

Filling the pods is super simple - this is one of Vaporesso's best features across all the XROS line, and no one does top-fill as good as Vaporesso do, we all know that. Pull off the mouthpiece, squeeze in your juice through the silicone port, pop it back on. Give it 5-10 minutes to soak in properly on your first fill. I haven't had a single leak in a very long time with any XROS pods, even carrying it in my pocket all day.

How It Stacks Up Against My Daily Pod Kits?

My main pod kits I use are OXVA Xlim pods - I'm a massive fan. But this kit is seriously impressive, and for all the XROS series fanboys and girls, and anyone who wants a super simple and easy-to-use pod kit, it's a must-buy in my opinion. I'm not saying this kit doesn't have lots of features - it does - but you can use it as complex or as easy as a £10 pod kit. I'll keep it in rotation against my trusty Xlim PRO 2 DNA I'm using and the new OXVA Xlim Pro 3 I'm testing (will put a review up soon on that one).

Each kit has its strengths - the Xlim PRO 2 DNA has that DNA chip precision, but the XROS Pro 2's battery life and build quality are hard to beat. It's earned its spot in my daily rotation, which says a lot coming from someone who's as devoted to OXVA as I am.

The Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 is for anyone, honestly. If you're moving away from prefilled kits (which everyone should do to really enjoy their vaping experience), or if you're trying to stop smoking, this is perfect. We all know that Vaporesso products are built to last, so for £24.99 - the price of 2 prefilled pod kits - you can have a device that, if looked after properly, can last you a good year or two.

If you're upgrading from an older XROS, you keep all the good stuff and get massive improvements in battery life and features. New to pod kits but want something premium? You can't go wrong here - it's simple enough for beginners but has all the features you'll want as you get more experienced.

Heavy vapers like me who are tired of charging multiple times a day - this is your answer. I genuinely use this alongside my OXVA kits now, and that's saying something.

My Verdict

Look, I've tried a lot of pod kits. Most of them are fine, they do the job. The XROS Pro 2 is different - it's actually impressive. The 2000mAh battery alone would sell me on it, but you're also getting that premium build, the colour screen, the new pods, and all those smart features.

Is it perfect? Nothing is, but as far as the XROS series goes, this is the new king of the hill and by far the best XROS product to date. For the price, you're getting a kit that performs like something twice as expensive.

If you're on the fence, here's my advice - get it. You won't regret it. This isn't just another pod kit, it's the one that's earning a permanent spot in my rotation alongside my beloved OXVA kits. When something impresses an OXVA fanboy this much, you know it's good.
