PIXL vape is a UK brand of rechargeable prefilled pod kits and 10ml nic salts, using the same flavour recipes as the original PIXL 6000 disposable. There are three kits in the range, 70 refill pods between them, and 35 nic salt flavours in bottles.

The PIXL 8000 refill pods take one flavour per pod for around 8,000 puffs, the PIXL Duo 12 refill pods hold two flavours you change by turning the mouthpiece, and the PIXL 5K refill pods are the smallest of the three. None is a single-use disposable, so you recharge the kit and replace only the pod.

PIXL 6000 and PIXL 2000 Replacements

The PIXL 6000 and PIXL 2000 were single-use disposables and both were banned from sale in the UK on 1 June 2025, so the replacement is a rechargeable PIXL kit taking the same flavour recipes. There are no PIXL 6000 refills, because the 6000 was a sealed unit with nothing to replace.

If you had a PIXL 6000, the PIXL 8000 vape kit is the closest match. It carries 12ml against the 6000's 2ml, it holds the same flavour list, and the draw feels the same because the nicotine strength and the 50/50 mix have not changed. If you had a PIXL 2000, the PIXL 5K vape kit is the nearer size.

Which PIXL Kit to Choose

Choose the PIXL 8000 for the longest single-flavour pod, the PIXL Duo 12 for two flavours in one device, and the PIXL 5K for the smallest and cheapest way into the range. All three are rechargeable over USB-C and all three take prefilled pods rather than bottled liquid.

Pods are not shared between the kits. A PIXL 8000 pod fits the 8000 only, and the PIXL Duo 12 kit takes Duo packs only. All three kits are listed with the wider prefilled pod vape kits if you want to compare PIXL against other brands.

How PIXL Refill Pods Work

A PIXL refill pod is a sealed prefilled unit that clicks into the kit, so there is no bottle to pour, no coil to change and no priming beyond a two minute wait on first use. The larger container feeds liquid into the pod on its own while you vape, which is why a 2ml pod lasts for thousands of puffs.

You cannot put your own e-liquid into a PIXL pod. If you want PIXL flavours in a kit you fill yourself, the PIXL nic salt e-liquids come in 10ml bottles at 5mg, 10mg and 20mg and work in any refillable pod kit. Every PIXL pod also appears in our wider prefilled vape pod refills range.

If a kit arrives locked, that is a safety feature rather than a fault, and five clicks of its button clears it. The button is in a different place on each kit, which catches people out: on the PIXL 8000 it is on the bottom beside the USB-C port, and on the PIXL Duo 12 it is on the side. The 35 PIXL nic salts match the pod flavours bottle for bottle, which makes them a cheap way to try a profile before buying a pod pack, and they open the range up to any refillable kit. No. The PIXL 8000, PIXL Duo 12 and PIXL 5K are rechargeable, refillable and TPD compliant, so they are legal to sell and buy in the UK. What was banned on 1 June 2025 was the single-use disposable, which took the PIXL 6000 and PIXL 2000 off sale.

PIXL kits start at £6.49 for the Duo 12, with the 5K at £6.99 and the 8000 at £7.99. Refill pods are £4.99 for the 5K, £5.99 for the 8000 and £6.99 for the Duo 12. The 10ml nic salts are £1.99 a bottle.

You cannot refill a PIXL 6000. It was a sealed single-use disposable with no removable pod and no filling port. The rechargeable PIXL kits replaced it, and those take prefilled pods that click in and out in about thirty seconds.

PIXL is a mid-priced brand and the appeal is the flavour list rather than the hardware, because the recipes carry straight over from the 6000 disposable people already liked. The kits are simple, draw-activated and cheap to keep going. There is no adjustable wattage or airflow.

PIXL kits and pods sold in the UK are TPD compliant, which caps pods at 2ml, caps nicotine at 20mg and requires child-resistant, tamper-evident packaging. Buy from a UK retailer rather than a marketplace listing, and charge the kit with the USB-C cable supplied.

Double click the button and the coil heats harder. You get thicker vapour and stronger flavour without using more liquid. It works on both the PIXL 8000 and the Duo 12, but the button is in a different place on each: on the bottom of the 8000 next to the USB-C port, and on the side of the Duo 12.
