Vape Kits

Vape kits give you everything to start vaping in one box. You get a battery or mod, a tank or pod, a coil and a USB-C cable. Simple pod kits work just like a disposable, while box mod vape kits go all the way up to 200W+ with temperature control and adjustable wattage.

We stock the best vape kits in the UK from Voopoo, Geekvape, Vaporesso, OXVA, Uwell and Aspire. Popular series like the OXVA Xlim and Vaporesso XROS sit alongside sub-ohm kits, prefilled kits, starter kits and full box mod setups. We add new vape kits every week, covering everything from tight MTL draws to wide-open DTL clouds.

Free next-day delivery on every vape kit order over £30, dispatched 7 days a week. Rechargeable vape kits work out far cheaper than single-use options and open up thousands more flavour choices.

Pod kits and starter vape kits sit at the simple end of the range. Sub-ohm kits and advanced kits hand you full control over wattage, airflow and coil choice. Prefilled pod vape kits land somewhere in the middle for vapers who want rechargeable convenience without filling or swapping coils.

Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) Vape Kits

Mouth to lung vape kits have a tight draw that mimics smoking, where you pull vapour into your mouth first and then inhale. Nic salts at 10mg or 20mg in a 50/50 e-liquid work best with this style, and pod kits from OXVA, Uwell and Vaporesso lead the MTL category. Batteries range from 700mAh up to 1,800mAh with USB-C fast charging across the board.

If you're an ex-smoker or switching from disposables, MTL Pod kits are usually the right starting point. Tight airflow paired with higher nicotine strength nails that throat hit without producing big clouds. Our MTL vs DTL vs RDL guide breaks down each vaping style if you're not sure which way to go.

DTL and Sub-Ohm Vape Kits

DTL vape kits use coils under 1.0 ohm at higher wattages. Vapour goes straight into your lungs rather than sitting in your mouth first, so you get bigger clouds and more intense flavour. Pair them with high VG shortfill e-liquids at 0mg or 3mg nicotine.

Most sub-ohm kits take external 18650 or 21700 batteries that swap out when they're flat. Adjustable wattage, mesh coils and wide-open airflow come as standard. Geekvape's Aegis range and Voopoo's Drag kits have owned this space for years and remain the go-to for most DTL vapers. View our Sub-Ohm vape kit range

Cheap Vape Kits and Budget Options

Cheap vape kits don't mean you're getting something rubbish. Prefilled pod kits start from £2.99 and work as a rechargeable vape with the same flavours as disposables. Refillable pod kits from Uwell, OXVA and Vaporesso sit between £10 and £25 and last months with regular coil changes.

It's the running cost that really makes the difference though. A refillable vape kit with nic salt e-liquid  works out to roughly £1 to £2 per day. Over a month that's a fraction of what disposables or cigarettes cost.

Box Mod Vape Kits

Box mod vape kits come with a mod and tank together in one box, ready to vape out of the packaging. You get variable wattage from 5W up to 200W+, temperature control modes and firing profiles for different coil materials. Power comes from external batteries, usually a single 18650 or dual 18650/21700 cells.

Go dual battery and the kit lasts longer between charges while pushing harder at higher wattages. Most box mod kits ship with a sub-ohm tank fitted with mesh coils, so there's no hunting for parts on day one. Not sure whether a pod kit or box mod suits you? Choosing the Right Vape Kit

It comes down to your vaping style, experience level and budget. Here's a quick breakdown by user type, or for a fuller walkthrough our how to choose the right vape kit guide goes step by step.

Ex-smokers and new vapers: Beginner kits and pod kits with MTL draw, auto-activation and nic salts at 10mg to 20mg. Closest match to smoking. OXVA Xlim and Uwell Caliburn are both solid first picks. Our complete beginner guide to vaping walks you through the setup to your first fill.

Ex-disposable users: Prefilled pod vape kits from Elf Bar, Lost Mary and SKE Crystal have the same flavours in a rechargeable format. Or go refillable with bar salt e-liquids for more flexibility and lower running costs.

Cloud vapers: Sub-ohm kits with mesh coils, adjustable wattage up to 200W and high VG shortfills at 0mg or 3mg. Geekvape Aegis and Voopoo Drag are the top picks here.

Hobbyists: AIO kits with rebuildable sections, Boro kits, box mods paired with RTAs or RDAs. Build your own coils, wick with cotton, dial in exactly what you want.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a vape kit and what's included in the box?

It's basically everything you need in one box. A battery or mod, a pod or tank, a coil and a USB-C cable. Some kits chuck in a spare coil too which is handy. You'll need to grab your own e-liquid too.

How much do vape kits cost?

Depends what sort of kit you're after really. Prefilled pod kits start from £2.99, most refillable pod kits sit around £15 to £30, and sub-ohm kits are more like £30 to £60. Full box mod setups go north of £100 if you want all the bells and whistles. Then there's coils and e-liquid on top, but that's only a few quid a week.

What's the difference between MTL and DTL vape kits?

MTL stands for mouth to lung, so it's a tight draw similar to a cigarette. Vapour sits in your mouth first, then you inhale. DTL is direct to lung, so the vapour goes straight down with a much more open airflow and you get bigger clouds with more flavour intensity. Stick with nic salts at 10mg to 20mg for MTL, and high VG e-liquid at 0mg or 3mg for DTL.

Are vape kits better than disposable vapes?

Honestly, it's not even close to running costs. A refillable pod kit with nic salt e-liquid costs about £1 to £2 a day, which is a fraction of what disposables add up to over a month. Plus you get thousands of flavour options rather than whatever's on the shelf. Most vapers in the UK have switched to rechargeable vape kits at this point.

Which vape kit is best for beginners?

Grab a pod kit with auto-draw because there's no buttons or settings to mess about with. Just fill the pod, charge it up and inhale. OXVA Xlim, Uwell Caliburn and Vaporesso XROS are the ones we sell the most of to new vapers. Pair it with a nic salt e-liquid at 10mg or 20mg and you're sorted.

What e-liquid should I use with my vape kit?

If you've got an MTL pod kit, nic salt or 50/50 e-liquid at 10mg to 20mg is what you want. Sub-ohm and DTL kits take high VG shortfill e-liquid at 0mg or 3mg. Getting this wrong is one of the most common mistakes we see. Wrong liquid in the wrong kit and you'll get flooding, dry hits or barely any vapour. Always check what your coil recommends for VG/PG ratio before buying.

How long do vape kit coils last?

Roughly one to two weeks for most people. Mesh coils usually stretch a bit further and the flavour stays more consistent right through. If you're vaping a lot of sweet or dark e-liquids though, expect them to gunk up quicker. You'll know when it's done because the flavour goes off or you get a burnt taste on the inhale.

What's the difference between built-in and external batteries?

Built-in means the battery is sealed inside and you charge it with USB-C, so you can't swap it out when it dies. External batteries like 18650 or 21700 cells pop out of the mod, so you can carry a spare and swap them over when one goes flat. Most sub-ohm and box mod kits take externals, while pod kits are almost always built-in.
