The XROS 5 Mini slots between the pocket-first XROS 5 Nano and the full-size flagship, slimmer in the hand than the standard kit. Together with the same Smart Mode chipset and the same coil platform, plus a four-finish Leather Edition lineup that the rest of the family does not get.

Every XROS pod from 0.4 ohm RDL right through to 1.2 ohm tight MTL clicks into the Mini. The result is that anyone moving across from an older XROS keeps their pod stash live.

COREX 3.0 Mesh Coil Performance

COREX 3.0 is the third-generation coil platform Vaporesso uses across the XROS 5 family. The mesh fires faster off the inhale, stays cooler through the draw and pulls more from nic salts and 50/50 blends than the older mesh tech in earlier XROS kits.

The 0.8 ohm COREX 3.0 pod that comes with the XROS 5 Mini is tuned for tight MTL on nic salt e-liquids. The wider COREX 3.0 ladder spans 0.4 ohm RDL up through 1.2 ohm tight MTL for anyone who wants to dial in a different draw.

XROS 5 Mini Smart Mode and Power Adjustment

Smart Mode is the headline chipset feature on the XROS 5 Mini. The kit reads the resistance of whichever pod clicks in and dials the wattage into the right window automatically, no menu diving, no firmware fiddling.

Swap from a 0.8 ohm MTL pod to a 0.6 ohm RDL pod and the XROS 5 Mini re-tunes itself before the next puff. Vapers who want manual control can adjust the power and airflow on the XROS 5 Mini themselves.

Vapers who do not can leave the kit on Smart Mode and forget about it.

Adjustable Airflow and Activation on the XROS 5 Mini

The side airflow slider on the XROS 5 Mini opens from fully closed for a tight cigarette-style MTL pull through to wide open for a looser RDL hit. Together with enough mechanical resistance that the slider does not shift around in a pocket.

Activation is inhale-only auto-draw which suits stealth vaping without a need for a screen.

XROS 5 Mini Leather Edition

The Leather Edition is a limited edition four-colourway lineup with a textured wrap finish that sets the body apart from the standard aluminium and SMT finishes. The four finishes are Mist Black , Mist White , Retro Orange and Retro Pink .

The wrap adds grip in the hand and a slightly warmer, less metallic feel against the palm. Internal spec is identical to the standard kit, same 1500mAh battery, same Smart Mode chipset, same COREX 3.0 pod, only the body cosmetic changes.

Leather Edition shells sit around 15g heavier than the plain aluminium options at approximately 65.2g.

Pod Compatibility

The XROS 5 Mini takes every pod in the Vaporesso XROS series from 0.4 ohm right through to 1.2 ohm, across both coil generations. The pod shell is universal, both the Corex 2.0 replacement pods and the newer Corex 3.0 Hive Mesh replacement pods click straight into the XROS 5 Mini and seat firm. The newer Corex 3.0 mesh gives the cleanest flavour and longest coil life on the XROS 5 Mini; the Corex 2.0 ladder vapes a touch warmer and covers a slightly broader resistance spread for vapers who liked the older draw profile. Both fit, both fire, both work on Smart Mode.

How to Use the XROS 5 Mini

Setup takes under a minute out of the box. The basic flow:

1. Charge the kit fully using the supplied USB-C cable before first use.
2. Pull the COREX 3.0 pod from the kit, lift the side-fill stopper and fill with up to 2ml of nic salt or 50/50 e-liquid.
3. Reseat the stopper, click the pod back into the kit and leave it to prime for two to three minutes.
4. Either inhale on the mouthpiece for auto-draw firing
5. Adjust the airflow slider to taste and you're ready to go
