XROS COREX 2.0 Replacement Pods

These are the original, mesh pods for the Vaporesso XROS range, still made alongside the newer COREX 3.0 generation. Each pod holds 2ml to UK TPD rules, the coil is fitted inside and cannot be changed, and you pick the resistance when you order. Four COREX 2.0 pods come per pack.

Vaporesso call the mesh inside this generation of pods 'Morph-Mesh'. Their published figures for it are 30% aroma reproduction, 30% pod lifespan and 15% vapour production, and the flavour it gives is warmer and denser than the newer mesh.

The COREX 2.0 pods fit the same Vaporesso XROS kits as every other XROS pod. One exception on the 0.4 ohm is worth reading before you order, and it is in the compatibility section below.

Why People Still Choose the XROS COREX 2.0

It is the mesh the XROS platform launched on, and a steady number of people prefer the flavour it gives once they have settled on a juice they like. It is warmer and rounder, which suits tobacco and menthol in particular.

Which Resistance to Pick

The coil is sealed into the mesh COREX 2.0 pod, so the resistance you choose is what sets the draw. Vaporesso publish no wattage figures for these pods, so there are none quoted here: on an XROS kit the wattage is set to suit the pod automatically.

The 0.8 ohm is the one most people buy and it suits nic salt vape juice on any XROS kit. Go tighter for a longer-lasting pod, looser for more vapour on a higher-powered kit.

Which XROS Kits Fit the COREX 2.0 Pods

Vaporesso list the XROS pod as working across the whole series: XROS 6, XROS Pro 2, XROS 5, XROS 5 Mini, XROS 4, XROS 4 Mini, XROS 3, XROS 3 Mini, XROS 3 Nano, XROS 2, XROS Mini, XROS Nano, XROS Cube and the original XROS. The XROS 6 Mini and XROS Mini Retro take them as well.

The exception is the 0.4 ohm. It fits the XROS 4 and every kit since: the XROS 4, XROS 4 Mini, XROS Pro, XROS Pro 2, XROS 5, XROS 5 Mini, XROS 5 Nano, XROS 6 and XROS 6 Mini. It does not fit the XROS Mini Retro, which Vaporesso exclude by name, or the older XROS 3, XROS 3 Mini, XROS 3 Nano, XROS 2, XROS Mini, XROS Nano, XROS Cube and the original XROS. Every other resistance fits everything.

How Often to Replace a Pod

Vaporesso do not give a pod life in refills or days. In our experience, an XROS pod lasts about one to two weeks with everyday vaping, so a four-pack covers roughly one to two months.

The signs that a Vaporesso XROS COREX 2.0 pod needs replacing, as Vaporesso name them:

• A burnt taste
• Weak vapour
• The coil darkening where you can see it.

Sweet dessert and custard flavours caramelise on the mesh and shorten pod life, so those go sooner than fruit or menthol.

How to Fill a COREX 2.0 Pod

Like every XROS replacement pod, the COREX 2.0 fills from the top. Take the pod out of the kit, open the fill port on the top, fill slowly without going past the top, then close it firmly.

Leave a freshly filled pod standing for two or three minutes before the first puff so the cotton soaks, then take a few short draws before a full inhale. A dry first pull is the most common cause of a new pod tasting burnt.

Are COREX 2.0 Pods Being Discontinued?

No, the XROS COREX 2.0 pods are not being discontinued. Vaporesso still list and make the COREX 2.0 pod alongside the newer COREX 3.0, and both are sold here at Ecigone in the same resistances. New Vaporesso XROS kits now ship with a 3.0 pod in the box, which is what leads people to ask, but a 2.0 pod fits those kits and is still sold for people who prefer the flavour it offers.
