Vaporesso XROS 4

The Vaporesso XROS 4 is a refillable pod kit with a 1000mAh battery, the AXON chip with Pulse mode, three output modes and an all-aluminium alloy unibody. The XROS 4 fires from the power button or on the draw, and the airflow toggle on the back takes the draw from MTL to RDL. The XROS 4 sits in our Vaporesso XROS range.

The kit comes with a 0.4 ohm COREX 2.0 mesh pod fitted and a 0.8 ohm XROS mesh pod in the box. Vaporesso state the XROS 4 is compatible with the entire XROS pod series.

The screenless XROS 4 Mini is the simpler option, draw-activated only.

Vaporesso XROS 4 Modes

Click the power button three times within two seconds to open the mode setting. Each further click moves between the three output modes, Strong, Stronger and Strongest, and the XROS 4 saves your choice after three seconds. The mode indicator confirms the change.

Pulse mode on the AXON chip boosts power, and Vaporesso say it keeps flavour strong from the first puff to the last.

XROS 4 Battery and Charging

The 1000mAh battery charges over Type-C at 2A, and Vaporesso rate a full charge at 30 minutes. The LED shows battery level by colour: Vaporesso's manual gives green for 70 to 100 percent, blue for 30 to 70 percent and red below 30 percent.

While charging, the LED shows the current battery level and stays green once the XROS 4 is full.

Airflow and Activation

The airflow toggle on the back of the XROS 4 sets the draw, from tight MTL to a looser RDL pull. Our advice: a 1.0 or 1.2 ohm pod with the airflow closed down for a tight MTL draw, or a 0.6 or 0.8 ohm pod with it opened up for RDL.

The XROS 4 is both button-activated and draw-activated, so you can press the power button or simply inhale.

XROS 4 Replacement Pods

Vaporesso state the XROS 4 fits the entire XROS pod series, from 0.4 to 1.2 ohm. The 0.4 ohm pod in the kit uses COREX 2.0, and our COREX 2.0 replacement pods are the like-for-like spare.

The newer XROS COREX 3.0 replacement pods come in 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 ohm and fit the same way. Every XROS pod fills from the top.

How to Use the XROS 4

• Pull out the pod and peel the sticker off the pre-installed pod before first use.
• Snap off the mouthpiece, fill through the filling hole, then press the mouthpiece back on firmly.
• On first fill, wait five minutes for the coil to prime.
• Click the power button five times within two seconds to switch the XROS 4 on or off.
• Click three times within two seconds to change output mode.
• Click four times within two seconds to lock the power button. On and off still works while locked.
• Set the airflow toggle, then press the button or inhale to vape.

The XROS 4 comes in ten colours: Black, Silver, Blue, Green, Lilac Purple, Sunset Neon, Pink Mint, Champagne Gold, Pastel Palette and Bloody Mary.
