Vaporesso XROS Pro 2 Pod Kit

The XROS Pro 2 is the flagship of the XROS range. A 2000mAh battery, 30W, a 0.96 inch colour screen with six themes, and Super Pulse, which Vaporesso had previously kept for their tank mods.

It is the biggest battery in the line by some margin, in an alloy body that stays light for what it holds. The screen is driven by the button below it rather than by touch.

Two pods come in the box, a 0.4 ohm and a 0.6 ohm, and every other XROS pod fits as well, so nothing bought for an older XROS goes to waste. The rest of the Vaporesso range is listed separately.

Super Pulse

Super Pulse is the feature Vaporesso put at the front of this kit, and it came down from their tank mods rather than up from the pod range. Instead of holding one steady output, it pulses the power through the draw.

What that gives you is a faster ramp at the start of the inhale, so the flavour arrives sooner without the overall power going up. It is most noticeable on nic salt at the lower wattages.

The 0.96 Inch Screen and Six Themes

The screen is a 0.96 inch TFT and it is not a touchscreen. The button below it does the navigating, and the display carries the wattage, the coil resistance, the battery and the puff count.

Vaporesso ship six themes for it, named Meter, Flower, Planet, Basic, Bubble and Light. They change the look of the home screen rather than what it tells you.

Power, Normal and Eco

Alongside Super Pulse there are three output modes. Power gives the warmest draw, Normal is the everyday setting, and Eco trims the output so the charge goes further.

Which one you get to use depends on the pod. With the 0.4 ohm you set a wattage directly in 0.5W steps. With a 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 or 1.2 ohm pod you pick a mode instead, and the kit sets the power for you.

How Long the XROS Pro 2 Lasts on a Charge

Half an hour on charge is enough for two days of vaping, which is Vaporesso's own claim and the figure worth knowing when you are heading out and the battery is low. Charging is Type-C at 5V/2A, so it is the slower charger of the two flagships: the XROS 6 takes 3A.

A full charge took around 55 minutes in our own testing. Vaporesso publish no figure for that themselves.

How long 2000mAh lasts between charges depends on how you vape. The 0.4 ohm pod at 25 to 30W drains it far quicker than a 1.0 ohm pod in Eco, so the honest answer is a range rather than a number. What is fixed is that it is the largest battery in the XROS range.

Vaporesso put that in context themselves: 67% more capacity than the original XROS Pro, which was 1200mAh, and 33% more than what they describe as leading competitors.

An LED below the screen shows the level at a glance while it charges: green from 70% up, blue between 30% and 70%, and red below 30%.

Which Pods Fit the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2

All of them. Vaporesso list the XROS Pro 2 as taking the whole XROS pod range, and both pod generations share the same fitting.

The 0.4 ohm is the one that unlocks wattage control, which is why Vaporesso fit it rather than a higher resistance. Replacements are the COREX 3.0 pods, four to a pack.

The difference comes down to whether you want the biggest battery or the newest kit.

The Pro 2 has the biggest battery and Super Pulse. The XROS 6 is newer, smaller, and the only one of the three with VENTURI airflow and the sixty-second priming.

The XROS 5 Nano is the odd one out: a square body with a touchscreen, and no fire button at all.

Moonlit Pink is the pink one, and Dawn Purple is the closest thing to a lilac in the range.

XROS Pro 2 Release Date and UK Availability

It is out. Vaporesso launched the XROS Pro 2 at InterTabac in September 2025 and it has been on sale in the UK since, in the 2ml version.

Vaporesso have added finishes to the range since launch, so the colour list in some of the older write-ups is shorter than what is actually available now.

How to Use the Vaporesso XROS Pro 2

A new pod needs five minutes before the first draw, which is Vaporesso's own instruction for this kit. Five steps:

1. Lift the pod out, pull the silicone plug, fill through the hole and press the plug back in.
2. Drop the pod back into the kit until the magnets take it.
3. Leave it five minutes. This is what stops a fresh pod tasting burnt.
4. Click the button five times to switch the kit on.
5. Draw on it, or hold the button. Either fires it.

The airflow toggle is on the back of the battery: closed for a tight cigarette-style draw on nic salt, open for a looser one.
