Box Mods for Every Vaping Style
A box mod is a regulated vape mod with a chip, a screen and adjustable wattage. You set the power, screw on a sub ohm tank or RDA, and the chipset handles the rest. Safety cutoffs, short circuit protection and battery monitoring all come as standard.
Most use a 510 connection at the top. That's the universal thread for vape tanks, RTAs and RDAs. If you already own a tank from another setup, it'll fit straight onto any regulated box mod in our range.
The collection covers DTL sub ohm vaping at higher wattages and MTL vaping at lower settings. Pair one with a sub ohm tank and high VG shortfill for clouds. Or go with an MTL RTA and nic salt for a tighter draw.
Built-In Battery vs External Battery Box Mods
Built-in battery box mods charge straight from USB-C. There's nothing extra to buy and no cells to swap out. They suit vapers who want a simpler setup or anyone new to regulated mods. Most sit between 50W and 100W and last a full day at moderate wattage.
External battery box mods take 18650 or 21700 cells bought separately. You'll also need a dedicated charger. The upside is longer runtime and the option to carry spare cells. You also get better long term value since you can swap in fresh batteries when the old ones wear out.
If you vape under 80W most days, a built-in battery box vape will cover it. Above that, or if you want all day runtime at higher wattages, go external. Our batteries and chargers section has 18650 and 21700 cells from trusted brands.
Choosing the Right Wattage
Box mods span a big wattage range. Getting the right one depends on how you vape and what tank you're pairing it with.
-
50W to 80W - covers most MTL and restricted DTL tanks. A single battery mod handles this bracket all day. Good starting point for vapers moving up from a pod kit.
-
80W to 150W - standard sub ohm territory. Dual coil tanks and mesh coils sit here. A dual battery setup is the best match for this range.
-
150W to 300W - high wattage sub ohm and competition builds. Quad battery setups or high drain 21700 cells in dual configs. Most vapers don't need this much power day to day.
Match your wattage to your coil. Every sub ohm coil has a recommended range printed on the side. Stay within it and you'll get the best flavour and coil life.
