  • Button and auto-draw firing on one kit
  • Eleven colours across two finishes.
What We Don't Like
  • Not a massive leap over the XROS 5
  • Taller in the pocket than the 5
  • No Leather Edition finishes yet
  • The 5's Smart mode auto-wattage does not carry over by name.

Our Expert Opinion About The Vaporesso XROS 6

Ellie

Ellie

Owner at Ecigone

"I have carried every generation of the XROS and this is the best one. The draw is smoother, the battery gets me through the day with room to spare, and it is the kit I reach for now. If you are buying your first XROS or replacing a tired one, this is the one to get."

The Vaporesso XROS 6 is the best standard XROS yet, and the person telling you that has owned every generation of them. Ellie is one of the owners here at Ecigone, and she has been a fan of the XROS series since the first kit arrived. She has used the XROS 6 as her daily kit since it arrived, so this review is her verdict rather than a spec sheet read aloud. And her verdict has a twist in it that tells you more about this kit than any star rating: she prefers it to her XROS 5, and she still would not tell most 5 owners to upgrade.

For anyone arriving here from an "is the XROS 6 out yet" search: yes. It launched in the UK in spring 2026, has been in stock with us since May, and is shipping now - currently on offer at £19.99 against its usual £24.99.

The owner's verdict

"I genuinely prefer it, and it lasts that bit longer. But if I was the one buying, would I upgrade from a 5? Honestly no - not unless you want the latest tech and the best XROS pod kit on the market. The changes are there, but they are not a massive impact." - Ellie, Owner at Ecigone.

That is Ellie's answer in full, and we are printing it unedited because it is the most useful sentence anyone will write about this kit. Both halves are true at once. The XROS 6 is better than the XROS 5 - the draw is smoother, the battery goes further, and given the choice she picks the 6 every time. At the same time, the gap in performance is not big enough that a happy XROS 5 owner should feel behind. A shop that wanted your money today would only tell you the first half.

What it is like to live with

The draw - where the upgrade lives

The VENTURI airflow is the one change you notice without looking for it. The pull is smoother and quieter than the 5, most obviously with the slider opened towards a looser draw, and flavour holds up better across the pod's life. Vaporesso claims percentage improvements we cannot measure, so we will not repeat them - the honest version is that the difference is noticeable and pleasant rather than revolutionary.

The battery - a touch longer, every day

The 1800mAh cell is the biggest in any standard XROS, up from 1500mAh in the 5. Ellie's real-world experience matches the arithmetic: it lasts that bit longer, reliably, which in practice means that when in the evening the 5 needed its cable, the 6 does not.

  • 3A fast charging: around 50% in ten minutes - Vaporesso's figure, and it means a ten-minute top-up covers a full day
  • Battery percentage on screen, no guessing
  • The trade: the 6 is 11.5mm taller than the 5 in the pocket - and if that is a dealbreaker, the smaller XROS 6 Mini carries the same VENTURI draw

The familiar parts, and why they matter

The 0.88 inch colour screen, the 5-30W range, three power modes, firing by button or auto-draw, and the 2ml pod system are all carried straight over. Most importantly, the XROS 6 takes every XROS pod ever made - COREX 2.0 and 3.0, 0.4 ohm to 1.2 ohm - so nobody entering the family or upgrading within it loses a single pod. Pair it with nic salts or 50/50 liquids and the 0.8 ohm pod in the box for classic MTL vaping.

Setting up the XROS 6, and the settings worth knowing

Out of the box to first puff takes about ten minutes, and most of that is waiting for the coil.

  1. Charge the kit over the included USB-C cable - ten minutes on the 3A fast charge gets you to around half full, enough for a full day of vaping.
  2. Pull the pod out, lift the silicone plug on the side and fill with up to 2ml of e-liquid.
  3. Replace the plug, click the pod back in, and leave the kit standing for the 60-second smart prime - the screen tells you when the coil is ready.
  4. Choose how it fires: press the button, or just inhale with auto-draw on. Both work out of the box.

The settings live behind the single side button. Double-press to move between the three power modes:

  1. Eco - stretches the battery furthest
  2. Normal - the everyday balance
  3. Power - warms the draw up.

You can also set the wattage manually anywhere from 5W to 30W, and the AXON chip reads whichever pod you click in and keeps the output sensible for it. Lock and unlock, power on and off, and the screen options all work from the same button - the on-screen prompts make it hard to get lost.

Which pod should you use in it?

The kit ships with the two most useful answers already in the box, and the whole XROS pod ladder fits if you want something different.

  • 0.8 ohm COREX 3.0 (pre-installed) - the classic MTL draw; start here with 10mg or 20mg nic salts, especially if you are coming from prefilled kits
  • 0.6 ohm COREX 3.0 (in the box) - a looser, airier draw with more vapour; pairs well with 10mg salts and 50/50 liquids
  • 0.4 ohm COREX 2.0 - the loosest draw in the family for restricted direct lung vaping at the top of the wattage range
  • 1.0 and 1.2 ohm COREX 2.0 - tighter, cigarette-like draws for 20mg salts; the older pods fit the new kit without a fuss

Replacement COREX 3.0 pods are the ones to reorder for this kit - the coil comes built into every pod, so flavour resets with each change.

Who should buy it - and who should not

Buy the XROS 6 if you are new to the XROS family, replacing a tired kit, or you simply want the latest tech and the best XROS pod kit on the market - Ellie's words, and the exact case where she says yes. And right now the price settles it for new buyers: the 6 is on offer at £19.99 against its usual £24.99, the same money as an XROS 5.

How we made this call

Ellie owns and uses this kit daily, has done the same with every XROS generation before it, and co-owns the shop selling it - so we have written her verdict exactly as she gave it, including the half that talks people out of spending money with us. Specifications come from the product as we stock it. Where a claim is Vaporesso's rather than ours, we say so.

The owner's pick of the XROS line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes for anyone buying a new pod kit: it is the best standard XROS yet, with the smoothest draw in the line and the biggest battery. For existing XROS 5 owners the honest answer from our owner Ellie is that the changes are real but not massive, so upgrade only if you want the latest tech.

It is the best standard XROS on current form. Power users who want an even bigger battery and higher output should also look at the XROS Pro 2, which sits above it in the range.

The 1800mAh cell is the biggest in any standard XROS and typically runs a day or more of MTL vaping, a touch longer than the XROS 5. Fast charging reaches around 50% in ten minutes over 3A USB-C.

Every Vaporesso XROS pod ever made fits, both COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 generations, from 0.4 ohm to 1.2 ohm. A 0.8 ohm and a 0.6 ohm COREX 3.0 pod come in the box.
