Vape Calculators
Every Ecigone vape calculator and tool in one place. Work out the 2026 vape tax, your nicotine strength, how much you'd save switching from smoking, e-liquid mixing recipes, coil and bottle life, and more. All free, all built for UK vapers.
We built these tools because vaping throws a lot of numbers at you, and most of the answers online are guesswork or out of date. Whether you are switching from cigarettes and trying to pick a first kit, or you have vaped for years and want to know what the new tax will cost you, there is a calculator here that gives you a straight, UK-specific answer in a few seconds.
Everything is free, works on your phone, and uses real figures: the GOV.UK vape and tobacco duty rates coming in October 2026, NHS nicotine strength guidance, and the standard formulas for mixing, coil builds and battery safety. Pick a tool below, or scroll down for the guides that go with them.

How to use these vape calculators
Each tool is built around one question. If you are new to vaping, start with the Vape Kit Finder to match yourself to the right type of kit, then the Nicotine Strength Finder to get your mg right - too low and you will not settle, too high and it can feel harsh. From there, the quit smoking plan walks you through your first week.
If you already vape, the money tools are the ones people come back to. The Vape Tax Calculator shows what the new duty adds to your e-liquid, and the Savings Calculator compares vaping with smoking both now and after October 2026. For running costs, the Coil & Pod Life and Bottle Life calculators tell you how long your kit lasts and what you actually spend.
The 2026 vape tax, in plain terms
From 1 October 2026 the UK introduces a Vaping Products Duty of 22p per millilitre of e-liquid, plus VAT on top - roughly 26p per ml at the till. It is a flat rate, so it applies whether your liquid is 0mg or 20mg. Tobacco duty rises on the same day, which is why our savings tool shows the gap between vaping and smoking actually widening, not closing. Hardware like coils, pods and kits is not taxed, so refilling stays the cheapest way to vape. There is a grace period to 1 April 2027 during which shops can still sell stock made before the duty started.
None of this changes the health position. The NHS and UK government still back vaping as one of the most effective ways to stop smoking. It is substantially less harmful than smoking but not risk-free, and it is for adult smokers and vapers - if you don't smoke, don't vape.
