Vaporesso XROS COREX 3.0 Pods

These are the current refillable replacement pods for the Vaporesso XROS range. Each pod is 2ml in accordance with UK TPD rules, the coil is fitted inside and cannot be changed, and you choose the resistance you want when you order. Four COREX 3.0 replacement pods are included per pack.

COREX 3.0 is the third generation of the coil inside. Vaporesso build it on what they call the Hive Mesh structure, with a nano-microfiber cotton and an aerospace grade high temperature material, and their SSS leak-resistant technology around the seal.

Every kit in the Vaporesso XROS line uses the same pod fitting, so a pod goes in with no adapter. One exception is worth knowing before you order.

COREX 2.0 vs. COREX 3.0 pods

Both the COREX 2.0 and 3.0 fit the same kits, in both directions, so this is a choice about the coil inside rather than about fitment. The figures below are Vaporesso's own, and offer a good side-by-side comparison.

Fitment is identical, so this is a flavour choice rather than a compatibility one. If you prefer the warmer, denser profile of the older mesh, the COREX 2.0 pod is still made.

Which Resistance to Pick

The wattage column is Vaporesso's own recommendation on best wattage for each pod, not a range we have estimated.

The 0.8 ohm is the one most people buy, and it suits a 10mg or 20mg nic salt on any XROS kit. Go up to 1.0 or 1.2 ohm for a tighter draw and longer pod life, down to 0.6 or 0.4 ohm for more vapour on a higher-wattage kit.

Which XROS Kits do the COREX 3.0 Pods Fit?

Vaporesso list the COREX 3.0 pod as working with every device in the XROS series: XROS 6, XROS Pro 2, XROS 5, XROS 5 Mini, XROS 4, XROS 4 Mini, XROS 3, XROS 3 Mini, XROS 3 Nano, XROS 2, XROS Mini, XROS Nano, XROS Cube and the original XROS.

The XROS 6 Mini and the XROS Mini Retro take them too, which Vaporesso state on each of those kits rather than on the pod itself.

There is one exception to know about. The 0.4 ohm pod fits the XROS 4 and every kit since: the XROS 4, XROS 4 Mini, XROS Pro, XROS Pro 2, XROS 5, XROS 5 Mini, XROS 5 Nano, XROS 6 and XROS 6 Mini, each of which Vaporesso list with it. It does not fit the XROS Mini Retro, which Vaporesso exclude by name, or the older XROS 3, XROS 3 Mini, XROS 3 Nano, XROS 2, XROS Mini, XROS Nano, XROS Cube and the original XROS. Every other resistance fits everything.

COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 pods are cross-compatible in both directions across the series, so an older pod works on a new kit and a new pod works on an old kit. For the pods that fit other Vaporesso families, see the full Vaporesso pod range.

How Often to Replace an XROS COREX 3.0 Pod

Vaporesso do not give a pod life in refills or days, but they say COREX 3.0's new high temperature material greatly improves the pod's lifespan. In our experience, an XROS pod lasts about one to two weeks with everyday vaping, so a four-pack covers roughly one to two months.

The signs to replace a Vaporesso XROS COREX 3.0 pod, according to the brand themselves, include:

1. A burnt taste
2. Weak vapour
3. The coil visibly darkening through the window.

Sweet dessert and custard flavours also shorten pod life because the sugars caramelise on the mesh. A pod using these flavours will go sooner than one on fruit or menthol.

Why a New Pod Can Taste Burnt

Almost always this is down to a dry first puff rather than a faulty pod. The cotton needs a few minutes to soak after filling. Essentially, you took a puff too quickly when the cotton was still dry. To prevent this:

1. Fill through the clamshell top
2. Stand the kit upright for two or three minutes
3. Take three or four short puffs before a full inhale.

On the 0.4 ohm and 0.6 ohm pods, this matters most because they draw more power and dry a coil faster.

Common Issues & Their Fixes for the COREX 3.0 Pod

The Pod Sits Proud

A pod that will not sit flush usually has air or e-liquid trapped under it. Lift it out, wipe the contacts on both the pod and the kit with a dry tissue, then press it back in firmly.

The Kit Does Not Read the Coil

If the screen reports no coil or the wrong resistance, it is the same fix in most cases: the contacts are wet or the pod is not fully seated. Wipe both sets of contacts, refit, and let the kit read the pod again. A pod that still will not read after that is a faulty one, and we will replace it.

Have XROS Pods Been Discontinued?

No, XROS pods have not been discontinued. Instead, Vaporesso have upgraded the XROS pod line to the COREX 3.0 rather than ended it, and the COREX 2.0 pods are still made alongside. Both are sold here, and both fit the same kits.
