The Current Vaporesso XROS Lineup
The XROS family covers four positions in the UK refillable pod kit market: starter, compact, slim and pro. Every current-generation kit accepts both COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 pod cartridges, so a single refill SKU works across the range. The magnetic pod fit carries over from XROS 4 through to the sixth generation.

Choosing Across the Range
The XROS Pro 2 leads on battery life and wattage adjustment. The XROS 5 Nano leads on slim-body battery with 1600mAh in the slimmest body type. The XROS 5 Mini and XROS 4 Mini suit anyone moving from a single-use kit. The XROS 5 anchors the generation with the 0.96 inch TFT display and three-mode operation.
For pod refills, the COREX 3.0 mesh pods fit every current XROS kit, with a higher-capacity XL pod variant available within that family. The COREX 2.0 pods remain in stock for vapers who prefer the original mesh tuning.
Some search results reference 3ml XROS pods. UK pod cartridges cap at 2ml per TPD regulations, so any 3ml pod is intended for non-UK markets and not supplied here.
Vaporesso XROS Generations
The Vaporesso XROS line launched in 2021 as the original XROS, a draw-activated 800mAh pod kit. Six generations in, the XROS remains the UK's most trusted refillable MTL pod kit family.
First and Second Generation
The original XROS launched at 800mAh with draw activation. The second generation added the 1000mAh battery.
Third Generation
The third generation brought OLED puff counters and the first 0.4 ohm restricted-DL pod. Those legacy pods are still searched today.
Fourth Generation
The fourth generation ushered in the COREX 2.0 mesh platform with SSS leak-resistant technology and 1000mAh batteries across the XROS 4 and XROS 4 Mini.
Fifth Generation
The fifth generation lifted the XROS 5 and Mini to 1500mAh, the Nano to 1600mAh, and the Pro 2 to 2000mAh with 5-30W variable wattage. The Nano also introduced the touchscreen.
Sixth Generation
The sixth generation arrives with 60-second Smart Prime coil priming, VENTURI airflow, an 1800mAh battery, 30W output and upgraded SSS 2.0 leak-resistant tech. The magnetic pod fit carries over, so existing COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 pods still work.
Vaporesso XROS Pod Compatibility
All current-gen Vaporesso XROS pods use a magnetic 2ml refillable cartridge. Both COREX 2.0 and COREX 3.0 fit every XROS 4, 4 Mini, 5, 5 Mini, 5 Nano, Pro 2 and the sixth generation.
Legacy XROS 3 pods are superseded by the COREX 2.0 platform. The cartridges still fit the same kits and remain searched as "xros 3 pods". The difference is coil tech, not kit fit.
COREX 3.0 lifts mesh life by roughly 30% over COREX 2.0 and locks flavour stability across the pod's lifespan. COREX 2.0 remains the lower-cost option for vapers who prefer the original mesh tuning.
XROS 5 pods (COREX 3.0) and XROS 4 pods (COREX 2.0) fit interchangeably across the lineup. The COREX 3.0 family also includes a higher-capacity XL pod option, searched as "vaporesso xros xl pods" or "corex 3.0 pods xl". The XL pod fits the standard XROS pod cartridge slot.

How to Refill Your Pod
Every Vaporesso XROS pod is refillable through a side fill port. To fill your own:
- Lift the pod out of the kit by the silicone tab
- Lift the rubber fill plug on the side of the pod
- Slow-fill the pod from your nic salt bottle nozzle, leaving a small air gap at the top
- Seat the fill plug fully, click the pod back into the kit and rest the pod for 5 minutes before the first puff
The 5-minute prime stops dry hits on a brand-new pod. After the first fill, the same pod tops up 5 to 8 times before flavour drops off and the coil needs swapping.
AXON Chipset and COREX Mesh Technology
Every Vaporesso XROS uses the AXON chipset, which fires the coil in microsecond pulse-bursts. The chipset keeps the mesh inside a tight thermal window across the full pod lifespan and locks flavour consistency from the first puff through to the last.
COREX is the Vaporesso integrated mesh platform. COREX 2.0 uses laser-etched stainless steel sheet mesh wrapped in Japanese organic cotton. COREX 3.0 upgrades to a honeycomb Hive Mesh dome with denser Cumulus cotton.
The mesh ramps to vaping temperature in roughly 0.3 seconds. SSS leak-resistant silicone seals block the four common leak points: coil base, fill port, pod-to-device contact and mouthpiece seam.
The sixth-generation kit upgrades this to SSS 2.0 with thermal leak-prevention design and improved structural sealing.
Vaporesso XROS Battery Life
Battery runs from 1000mAh to 2000mAh across the current lineup. The XROS Pro 2 leads at 2000mAh, with the XROS 5 Nano second at 1600mAh, and the XROS 5 and XROS 5 Mini matched at 1500mAh.
The XROS 6 sits at 1800mAh between the Nano and the Pro 2. The XROS 4 and XROS 4 Mini hold the entry tier at 1000mAh each.
A 1000mAh XROS 4 lasts roughly a full day on 20mg nic salts. The 1500mAh kits stretch to about a day and a half, and the XROS 5 Nano at 1600mAh leads the slim-body category for day-to-day battery life.
Type-C super charging across the XROS 5 generation cuts top-up time to roughly 20 minutes for 80%.

Pod Troubleshooting Guide
Most XROS problems trace back to one of five common causes. Quick fixes for each:

Gurgling (flooded pod): blow through the mouthpiece into a tissue, then rest for 5 minutes

Burnt taste on first fill (dry coil): rest after filling, then take 3 priming puffs without firing

Tight inconsistent draw (clogged airflow port): wipe the slot on the device body with a cotton bud

No vapour with charged battery (oxidised contact pins): wipe the gold pins on the pod and the device

Power On and Off
Press the fire button 5 times within 2 seconds to power any current Vaporesso XROS kit on or off. This works universally across the family.

E-Liquid for Vaporesso XROS Kits
Vaporesso XROS kits are built for nic salt e-liquid at 10mg or 20mg strength. The smoother delivery of salts suits the MTL draw and pairs well with COREX mesh pods.
The 10ml nic salt range carries over 500 flavours from brands including Elf Bar Elfliq, Lost Mary, Hayati and IVG. Vaporesso's own nic salt line, Dojoliq, pairs cleanly with every coil resistance in the family.
If you prefer freebase or want to fill your own from a shortfill, 50/50 VG/PG juice runs cleanly on 0.8 ohm and above. Higher-VG juice over 60% suits the 0.4 ohm restricted-DL pod best.
