While Vaporesso makes some cracking starter kits that are dead easy for beginners, there's a reason so many seasoned vapers have got at least one of their devices in rotation.
After vaping for nearly a decade and flogging thousands of devices through Ecigone, I've noticed a pattern - even the most advanced vapers often reach for a Vaporesso when they want something reliable that just works.
It's All About That AXON Chip
Experienced vapers know that what's under the hood matters more than a flashy exterior, and Vaporesso's AXON chip is where they've put the real graft in.
F(t) Mode: Temperature Control That Actually Works
If you've been vaping a while, you've probably tried temperature control on various devices and found it either spot-on or completely useless. Vaporesso's F(t) mode takes a different approach to traditional TC, focusing on the heating curve rather than just cutting power when it hits a temp limit.
What this means in practice is a much more natural vaping experience - no sudden drops in power or inconsistent hits. I've got an old Gen that I still use almost exclusively in F(t) mode with stainless steel coils, and the smooth ramp-up is leagues ahead of even some much pricier mods I've tried.
For TC enthusiasts (and I know we're a niche bunch), this alone makes Vaporesso worth a look. The fact that it works with standard round wire builds, not just fancy exotic coils, is the cherry on top.
DIY Mode: Proper Power Curve Control
Another feature that experienced vapers love tinkering with is the DIY Mode, which lets you create custom power curves. Rather than just vaping at a set wattage, you can program exactly how the power ramps up and down during your puff.
This level of customisation is brilliant for getting the most out of different e-liquids. With custard flavours, for example, I like to start low, ramp up quickly to bring out those vanilla notes, then ease off a bit to avoid burning the sweeteners. Being able to tailor this to the exact millisecond is the kind of nerdy control that experienced vapers crave.
Cracking Sub-Ohm Tanks
Vaporesso's sub-ohm tanks don't always get the attention they deserve, but they're some of the best on the market for flavour chasers.
The iTank Series: Flavour Machines
The iTank and iTank T are proper little flavour machines. Using the GTi coils, these tanks deliver outstanding flavour clarity that rivals much more expensive tanks. The airflow on the iTank T, in particular, is spot-on, adjustable enough to fine-tune your vape without being overly complicated.
I've found the GTi 0.2Ω coil at around 65- 70w brings out layers in dessert juices that I didn't even know were there when using other tanks. Nothing beats the crisp, clean taste of fruit flavours from these coils.
Coil Life That Won't Bankrupt You
One thing experienced vapers hate is constantly changing coils. The GTi coils in the iTank series seem to last ages, even with sweet juices that would kill other coils in days. I've had GTi coils go for 2-3 weeks of heavy use, which makes them a proper bargain compared to some other brands.
Cross-Compatibility Bonus
Here's something that experienced vapers love about Vaporesso - their GTX coils used in their pod systems are physically compatible with VooPoo's PnP coils, despite not being officially advertised as such. This means if you've got a collection of both brands' devices, you can use either coil in either system.
I've been using VooPoo's PnP VM6 coils in my Vaporesso pods that use GTX coils when I fancy a warmer vape, and Vaporesso's GTX 0.8Ω in VooPoo devices when I want better battery life. It's one of those little hacks which experienced vapers love to discover and share.
The Perfect Out-and-About Device
I've noticed that even the most hardcore vapers, the ones who build their own exotic coils and use high-end boro devices or advanced AIOs at home, almost always have a Vaporesso pod kit in their pocket when they're out and about.
Comparable Flavour Without The Faff
The reason is simple - Vaporesso's pod systems like the XROS 4 or Luxe XR Max deliver flavour that's genuinely comparable to much more complex setups. When you're nipping to the pub or heading to work, you don't want to be carrying spare batteries, a bottle of juice, and worrying about leaks or glass breakage.
I build my own coils for use at home, but I've always got an XROS in my pocket when I'm out. The flavour from those COREX coils is so good that I don't feel like I'm compromising, just simplifying.
Reliability When It Matters
There's nothing worse than being out and having your device fail on you. Vaporesso's pod systems are ridiculously reliable - they just work, time after time. The coils last ages, the batteries see you through a day, and they rarely develop leaks or other issues.
For experienced vapers who've been around long enough to have been let down by fancy devices before, this kind of dependability is worth its weight in gold.
