Are Lost Mary Pods The Best Choice For Nicotine Free Vapers?

By shane margereson  •   5 minute read   •   Last updated: February 17, 2026

Lost Mary nicotine free pods don't exist right now. Every Lost Mary pod on sale in the UK contains 20mg nicotine salt e-liquid, and there's no 0mg, 5mg, or 10mg option across any of their ranges.

That's a problem if you vape without nicotine or you're trying to step down to a lower strength. The good news is you've got better options than waiting for Lost Mary to catch up, and one of those options is about to land.

This guide covers what nicotine Lost Mary pods actually contain, what's coming next, and why most zero nicotine vapers end up switching to refillable kits instead.

Do Lost Mary Pods Have Nicotine?

Yes. Every Lost Mary prefilled pod contains nicotine. There are no nicotine free Lost Mary pods available in any range right now.

All Lost Mary pods use 20mg nicotine salt e-liquid. That's the same strength across every range and every flavour, with no lower options.

Here's what each range contains:

Range

Approx Puffs

BM6000

The nicotine content is the same no matter which flavour you pick. There's no way to get a Lost Mary pod with less nicotine or no nicotine at all from their current lineup.

Is There a Nicotine Free Lost Mary?

Not yet, but it's on the way. Lost Mary have confirmed a nicotine free version of the BM6000 kit and pods is coming soon. We'll have more details once it lands, but it's the first time Lost Mary has moved into the zero nicotine space with their prefilled pods.

Until that arrives, every Lost Mary pod on the market is 20mg only. You can't open them up and fill them with your own 0mg e-liquid either, because the pods are sealed and designed to be swapped out whole when they run dry.

If you're vaping nicotine free right now and need something today, a refillable pod kit with 0mg shortfill e-liquid is the most straightforward option. You're not waiting on any manufacturer to decide if they'll make a zero nicotine version.

Does Lost Mary Do Low Nicotine Pods?

No. Lost Mary doesn't offer 10mg, 5mg, or any strength below 20mg across their prefilled pod ranges. It's 20mg nic salt or nothing.

That's the same story across the whole prefilled pod market right now. Most brands launched with 20mg because that's what the majority of ex-disposable vapers were using, and lower strengths haven't followed yet.

If you want to vape at a lower nicotine level, your only real option is a refillable kit. With a refillable setup you can use:

  • 20mg nic salt for full strength
  • 10mg nic salt for a lighter hit
  • 0mg shortfill for completely nicotine free vaping
  • 3mg or 6mg freebase if you add a nicotine shot to a shortfill

Our nic salt strengths guide covers how to pick the right level if you're not sure where to start.

Why Nicotine Free Vapers Are Better Off With Refillable Kits

This is my honest take after running Ecigone since 2014. If you vape at 0mg, a refillable pod kit paired with nicotine free shortfill e-liquid gives you far more than any prefilled pod system can.

You're not locked into one brand's flavour range. You're not stuck on one nicotine strength. And you're not paying pod prices for e-liquid you could get in a 100ml bottle for a fraction of the cost.

Here's how the two compare:

Prefilled Pods

Refillable Kit + Shortfill

Nicotine Options

20mg only (most brands)

0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 10mg, 20mg

Flavour Choice

Limited to what the brand makes

Hundreds of e-liquids from dozens of brands

Bottle Size

2ml per pod

100ml shortfill bottles

Ongoing Cost

Higher per ml of e-liquid

Much lower per ml

Flexibility

Swap the whole pod when it's empty

Fill with whatever you want, whenever you want

The flavour side matters more than people think. When you're vaping without nicotine, flavour is everything because there's no throat hit to lean on. 50/50 shortfills tend to give a cleaner, more accurate taste in pod kits than most prefilled options.

Best Zero Nicotine E-Liquids for Pod Kits

If you're going the refillable route, 50/50 shortfill e-liquids are the ones to look at. The 50/50 VG/PG ratio works well in pod kits and the 100ml bottles last a long time when you're not burning through liquid quickly.

A few UK brands worth trying for nicotine free vaping:

  • Doozy Pod Fill - made specifically for pod kits with a 50/50 ratio
  • Zeus Juice - wide flavour range across fruit, menthol, and dessert
  • Dinner Lady - well known for bakery and dessert profiles
  • IVG - strong fruit and menthol options

All of these come as 100ml shortfills with 0mg nicotine. If you decide you want to add nicotine later, you can drop a nic shot into the bottle and mix it yourself.

For vapers who do want nicotine but at a lower strength than 20mg, nic salt e-liquids come in 10mg and 20mg and work well in pod kits too.

What Happened After the Disposable Ban?

The UK banned single use disposable vapes in June 2025. That included zero nicotine disposables, so vapers who used those lost their go-to option overnight.

Prefilled pod kits from brands like Lost Mary, Elf Bar, and SKE stepped in as the replacement. But most launched with only 20mg pods, leaving nicotine free vapers without much to choose from in the prefilled space.

The refillable vape market has grown since the ban, with more pod kits and a bigger range of e-liquids than ever before. Our guide to switching from disposables covers the basics if you're still making the move.

Shane's been in the vaping industry for over a decade and there aren't many kits he hasn't tried first-hand. He started as a hobbyist but these days you'll find him with a pod kit and dessert nic salts – though he'll still pick up the odd limited edition setup if it's a beauty.

As owner of Ecigone, he's tested hundreds of devices and knows the market inside out. He's also a big fan of OXVA Vapes, which you'll notice when you read his reviews. If Shane doesn't know about it, it's probably not worth talking about.
