Can You Travel with Vaporesso Vapes? Tips for Vaping Abroad

By shane margereson

Planning on taking your Vaporesso vape on your hols this year? It's one of the most common questions we get from customers, so I thought I'd put together a quick guide on what you need to know before jetting off with your vape kit.

Check the Rules Where You're Going

This is dead important - vaping laws aren't the same worldwide. While we're pretty vape-friendly here in the UK, some countries are proper strict.

Places like Thailand, Singapore and Brazil have outright banned vapes, and you could end up with a massive fine or worse if you're caught with one. Australia and Japan are a bit more relaxed but have their own rules about nicotine e-liquids.

Always check the vaping laws for where you're heading. Just a quick Google before you travel could save you a load of hassle at the other end.

Flying with Your Vaporesso

If you're getting on a plane, here are the must-know basics:

Your vape and any batteries MUST go in your hand luggage. Don't even think about packing them in your checked bag - airlines are dead strict about this because of fire risks.

Empty your tank or vape pod before the flight. The cabin pressure changes can make them leak, and nobody wants vape juice all over their clothes. If you've got an XROS or Luxe, either empty it out or fill it right before security and leave it alone until you land.

Your e-liquids need to follow the same 100ml liquid rules as your shampoo and that. Small bottles, clear plastic bag, you know the drill. If you're only taking hand luggage, don't get caught out by bringing too much vape juice.

The DOJO Range - Perfect for Travel

If you're worried about taking your expensive vape kit abroad, the Vaporesso DOJO range is spot on for travelling.

These prefilled pod kits are cheap as chips compared to your main device, so if it gets pinched, damaged, or you have to bin it at border control, you're not crying over a £40+ loss.

What makes the DOJO brilliant for holidays is how simple they are. No bottles of juice to spill in your bag, no coils to change, just grab a few spare pods and you're sorted for the whole trip.

With the new disposable regulations coming in June 2025, these compliant devices make more sense than traditional disposables, too. They've been designed with the new rules in mind.

If you fancy leaving it behind rather than bringing it home, you're only out a tenner or so. Can't say fairer than that.

Packing Your Vape

A bit of prep goes a long way:

  • Turn your device off properly before packing it. For most Vaporesso kits , that's five clicks until the light goes out.
  • Use a case if you've got one. Stops your fire button getting pressed by accident in your bag and protects it from knocks.
  • If you're taking spare batteries for your bigger Vaporesso mods , stick them in proper battery cases. Loose batteries floating around with your keys and coins is asking for trouble.
  • Take what you need juice-wise or check if there are vape shops where you're going. Most popular holiday spots in Spain, Greece and that have decent vape shops now.

Getting Through Security

When you hit airport security:

Don't try hiding your vape - put it in the tray with your phone and that. Security staff see hundreds of vapes every day.

If they ask what it is, just tell them straight up. Most know what a vape is, but if they don't, just say it's an electronic cigarette and you'll be fine.

Don't vape in the airport except in smoking areas. And definitely don't try it on the plane unless you fancy getting arrested at the other end.

Using Your Vaporesso On Holiday

Once you've landed:

Be sensible about where you vape. Just because you can doesn't mean you should cloud up the local restaurant.

Keep your kit out of the sun and heat. Left in a hot hire car, your battery can get damaged and your juice will go manky.

Watch out for different plug voltages if you're charging your Vaporesso Gen or other mod. Most modern USB chargers handle this themselves, but worth checking.

Keep track of your juice. Running out in the middle of nowhere with no vape shop for miles is a right pain.

All things considered

Taking your Vaporesso on holiday doesn't need to be a massive headache. Just make sure you've checked the vaping laws for wherever you're headed - nothing worse than arriving somewhere to find your vape's not welcome.

Keep your device in your hand luggage rather than checking it in, and remember all those rules about batteries and liquids that the airlines bang on about. Being a bit respectful about where you vape when you're there goes a long way too - nobody wants to be that tourist.

If you're worried about losing or breaking your fancy setup while you're away, grabbing something like the XROS Mini for under twenty quid or one of the DOJO range makes a lot of sense.

Cheap enough that it won't ruin your trip if it gets lost or nicked, but you'll still get a decent vape while you're lounging by the pool.
