How to Use the OXVA NeXlim

Turning On

Press the fire button five times quickly. The screen lights up and shows your current settings. Five clicks again to turn it off.

Filling the Pod

  1. Pull the pod out of the kit

  2. Flip it over to find the silicone fill port on the side

  3. Lift the silicone plug

  4. Fill with e-liquid, leaving a small air gap at the top

  5. Close the plug and let the pod sit for 3 to 5 minutes before first use

That wait time matters. Fresh coils need to soak up e-liquid before you vape. Skipping it risks a dry hit and can burn the coil on your first puff.

First Draw

Once the pod has soaked, slot it back into the kit. You can either press the fire button and inhale, or just draw on the mouthpiece. Auto-draw kicks in on its own. The screen shows your wattage, resistance, and battery level.

Button Functions

One main button on the side controls everything. Here's what each combination does.

You don't need to use the button at all if you prefer auto-draw. Both activation methods work at the same time. Pick whichever feels more natural.

Eco vs Boost Mode

Simpler than most people think, this one.

Eco mode lowers the power output to save battery. Slightly cooler vape, less vapour, but the battery stretches noticeably further. Good for days when you're out all day with no charger.

Boost mode pushes the coil harder. More vapour, warmer vape, stronger flavour. Burns through the battery quicker but the taste difference is worth it when you want a fuller hit.

Three clicks of the fire button swaps between them. The screen shows which mode you're in.

Which Mode Should You Use

Daily MTL vaping on a 0.8 or 1.2 ohm pod? Eco mode. You won't notice much flavour drop on the tighter pods and the battery goes further. Read our guide if you want to learn more about MTL versus DTL Vaping.

On the 0.6 ohm pod I switch to boost. More vapour at higher wattage means the coil has more to work with and the flavour comes alive. RDL vapers will prefer boost almost every time.

No harm keeping it on eco permanently. Pod life may stretch a bit longer too, since the coil runs cooler.

Boost Mode Not Working

Won't switch to boost? Pull the pod out and reseat it until it clicks. Still nothing? Try a fresh pod. Worn coils can block mode switching.

Stuck in Eco Mode

Same thing - reseat the pod first. Still stuck? Turn the kit off (five clicks), wait 10 seconds, power it back on, then try three clicks. A full restart sorts out most mode issues.

Wattage Settings by Pod

Every NeXlim pod has a wattage range. Stay inside it and you'll get the best flavour without killing pods early.

Pod

Resistance

Style

Wattage Range

Best At

0.6 ohm

0.6 ohm

RDL

20 to 40W

25 to 30W

0.8 ohm

0.8 ohm

MTL

12 to 32W

14 to 18W

1.2 ohm

1.2 ohm

MTL

10 to 25W

12 to 14W

That "Best At" column comes from months of daily use. You can push higher or lower within the range, but those wattages hit the sweet spot between flavour and pod life.

Your NeXlim reads the pod resistance automatically and suggests a starting wattage. Adjust from there using the button controls on the screen.

Pod Options and Compatibility

NeXlim pods only work in the NeXlim. Other Xlim kits use different pods and they won't cross over. Only exception in the OXVA range where pods aren't shared.

The UK version is 2ml (TPD compliant). The international version is 4ml.

All three resistances (0.6, 0.8, and 1.2 ohm) use dual-mesh coils with UniTech 2.0 wicking. The dual-mesh gives better flavour than single-coil pods across the board. Side-fill design with a silicone plug.

How Long Do NeXlim Pods Last

Expect 10 to 14 days from a pod of 50/50 nic salt. Sweet liquids cut that short. Fruit and menthol tend to go the distance; dessert and custard profiles gunk coils faster.

Once flavour starts going dull or you catch a burnt note, bin the pod. Running a dead coil just ruins the vape.

Best E-Liquid for the NeXlim

50/50 VG/PG nic salt at 10mg or 20mg in the 0.8 and 1.2 ohm pods. For the 0.6 ohm, 50/50 or 60/40 both work. Drop to 10mg at 0.6 ohm if 20mg feels like too much with the extra vapour.

Freebase E-liquid works too - same ratios, same strengths, just a sharper throat hit at any given mg.

OX Passion nic salts are OXVA's own line. 50/50, 20mg, and they pair well with the 0.8 ohm NeXlim pod.

Airflow Control

A slider on the bottom of the NeXlim adjusts airflow between tight MTL and looser RDL.

Slide it fully closed for the tightest draw. This mimics a cigarette pull and works best with the 1.2 or 0.8 ohm pod. Slide it open for more air and a looser inhale. On the 0.6 ohm pod at higher wattage with open airflow, you get a full RDL vape.

You can set it anywhere between the two extremes. Small adjustments make a noticeable difference to how the draw feels.

Screen and Themes

On the 0.85 inch colour screen you'll see battery level, wattage, puff count, coil resistance, and current mode (eco or boost). Three themes to pick from. Hold the button when the kit is unlocked to get into theme settings.

Stays readable in direct sunlight. Dims after each draw to save battery.

Puff Clear and Puff Counter

Your puff count shows on screen and the NeXlim tracks it automatically. To reset it back to zero, go into the settings and find the puff clear option. Hold the button to confirm. This just resets the counter. It doesn't change any vaping settings.

Some people reset it daily to track usage. Others reset when they put a new pod in to see how many puffs each pod lasts.

Battery Life and Charging

1500mAh gets you through a full day on the 0.8 ohm pod in eco mode. Heavy use on 0.6 ohm in boost drains it faster — still a solid 8 to 10 hours though.

USB-C at 2A. About 80% in an hour, full charge in 90 minutes. The screen shows the exact percentage so you're never guessing.

Dead battery? Fifteen minutes on the cable gives you enough for a couple of hours. Quick desk charge while you work and you're sorted.

Troubleshooting

NeXlim Not Turning On

Plug it into a USB-C cable. If the screen shows a charging icon, the battery was just dead — wait a few minutes and try five clicks. Nothing on screen at all? Different cable, different plug. Some USB-C cables don't carry enough power.

NeXlim Not Firing

Pull the pod, check the contacts on the bottom for e-liquid. Wipe with a tissue, reseat it firmly. Still nothing? Fresh pod. A burnt-out coil triggers a safety cutoff and the kit won't fire until you swap it.

Not Charging

Different cable first. If no charging indicator shows with any cable, the port probably needs a clean. Dry cotton bud, gently inside. Lint and pocket dust build up there over time.

Where the NeXlim Fits in the Xlim Range

At 40W max output, the NeXlim is the highest-wattage pod kit in OXVA's lineup. Xlim Pro 2 and Pro 3 both cap at 30W. Trade-off: NeXlim pods only work in the NeXlim, while the rest of the Xlim range shares pods across kits.

Want the most wattage and biggest flavour from OXVA? NeXlim. Want pod sharing across multiple kits? Xlim Pro 3 or 3 Ultra.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you switch between eco and boost on the OXVA NeXlim?

Three clicks of the fire button. The screen shows which mode is active. Eco saves battery, boost gives more vapour and flavour.

What wattage should I use on the 0.6 ohm NeXlim pod?

Anywhere from 20 to 40W. I run mine at 25 to 28W for the best flavour without burning through pods too fast. In boost mode, it sits at the higher end of that range automatically.

How long do OXVA NeXlim pods last?

About 10 to 14 days with 50/50 nic salt e-liquid. Sweeter liquids shorten that. Fruit and menthol flavours tend to give you the longest pod life.

Do NeXlim pods fit other OXVA kits?

No. NeXlim pods are specific to the NeXlim only. They don't fit the Xlim Pro 2, Pro 3, Go 2, or any other OXVA Xlim kit. Other Xlim pods don't fit the NeXlim either.

Can I use freebase e-liquid in the NeXlim?

Yes. 50/50 or 60/40 VG/PG freebase works in all three pod resistances. Freebase gives a stronger throat hit than nic salt. Use 10mg or 20mg in the 0.8 and 1.2 ohm pods, and 10mg or lower in the 0.6 ohm pod.

What does puff clear do on the NeXlim?

It resets the puff counter on your screen back to zero. It doesn't change your wattage, mode, or any other settings. Useful for tracking how many puffs a pod lasts or your daily usage.
