Vaporesso Armour GS2 Pod Mod Kit

The Vaporesso Armour GS2 is an 80W pod vape powered by one removable 18650 battery. As a pod system it takes GTX coils in an MTL or a DTL pod, so it goes from a tight mouth to lung draw up to the 0.15 ohm coils at the top of its range.

It follows the Armour GS in our Vaporesso Armour range, sometimes spelt Armor GS2, adding an auto lock, Pulse Mode on the AXON 3.0 chip and advanced battery protection.

The Armour G2 is the built-in battery version, with 3400mAh and 5W to 60W.

Armour GS2 Battery

The Armour GS2 takes a single 18650 battery, which is not included. You can charge it in the device over Type-C at 2A, or carry a spare cell and swap it when one goes flat. Pick a cell from our 18650 vape battery range.

80W, AXON 3.0 and Pulse Mode

With up to 80W, the Armour GS2 has 20W more headroom than the Armour G2, enough to use the 0.15 ohm GTX coils for big DTL clouds. Pulse Mode on the AXON 3.0 chip keeps the output steady as the battery drains, and Vaporesso say the flavour holds even at 20% battery. The screen themes on the GS2 are Classic, Meteor and Engine.

Armour GS2 Coil Compatibility and Pods

The Armour GS2 uses the Armour G and GS pods, shared with the Armour G, GS and G2, and every GTX coil below fits it:

The dual mesh coils are rated by Vaporesso for 50% longer life and 32% more intense flavour. Replacement GTX coils come five to a pack.

Armour GS2 MTL or DTL

Swap the pod and the Armour GS2 changes how it vapes:

• MTL pod: slim drip tip, restricted airflow, tighter draw, stronger throat hit. Fit a 0.6, 0.8 or 1.2 ohm coil.
• DTL pod: wide drip tip, open airflow, smoother draw, bigger clouds. Fit a 0.15 to 0.4 ohm coil.

The MTL pod pairs with nic salts at 10mg or 20mg.

The DTL pod pairs with shortfill e liquid at 3mg or 6mg, especially on the 0.15 ohm coil.

Quadra Leakproof Pod

The Armour GS2 pod has top airflow and top filling, so neither sits next to the e-liquid at the base, and Vaporesso add their SSS 2.0 e-liquid lock inside. Together they call it Quadra Leakproof.

How to Use the Armour GS2

Getting the Armour GS2 ready takes six steps:

1. Fit a charged 18650 battery, or charge it in the device over Type-C.
2. Choose the MTL or DTL pod and push a GTX coil into the base.
3. Fill through the top fill port.
4. Give a new coil five minutes to soak.
5. Set the wattage for the coil, anywhere from 5W to 80W.
6. Lock the buttons once it is set.

If you leave it alone for 3 minutes, the auto lock cuts the output, so it will not fire in a bag. The Advanced Battery Guard covers overtime, overheat, USB, low resistance, short atomiser, over heat and low battery.
