Regulated and Mechanical Squonk Mods
Regulated squonk mods have a chipset controlling your wattage, with safety features like short circuit protection and battery monitoring built in. They suit most squonkers, whether you're new to bottom feeding or just want consistent power with your builds.
Mechanical squonk mods strip that chipset out entirely. Power goes straight from the battery to the coil with no regulation, so the output drops as the battery drains. Mech squonkers are for experienced builders who understand Ohm's law and battery safety limits. If you're not confident calculating amp draw for your builds, stick with a regulated squonk mod.
Most of our range is regulated. The Dovpo Flipside sits at 100W, the Vandy Vape Pulse V3 at 95W and the Dovpo Topside Dual V4 at 200W. Each one pairs with any bottom feed RDA that has a squonk pin fitted.
Squonk Bottle Sizes and Refilling
The bottle inside a squonk mod holds your e-liquid and feeds it up to the RDA when you squeeze. Bottle capacity varies by mod, with most sitting between 6ml and 10ml.

Smaller bottles keep the mod compact but need topping up more often, especially at higher wattages with thirsty coils. If you vape through 5ml or more a day, a 10ml bottle saves you refilling mid-session.
High VG shortfills and freebase liquids work best with squonk mods. The thicker juice wicks well through bottom feed RDAs and gives you better flavour and vapour at sub ohm resistance.
Choosing the Right Squonk Kit
Some squonk mods sell as standalone devices where you add your own RDA and battery. Others come as a squonk kit with a matched bottom feed RDA in the box, ready to build and vape.
If you already own a bottom feed RDA you like, a standalone squonk mod is all you need. Just check the 510 connection fits and the mod handles your coil resistance. Most regulated squonkers fire down to 0.05 to 0.1 ohm, which covers the vast majority of single and dual coil builds.
If you're new to squonking, a squonk kit takes the guesswork out of matching components. The RDA is designed to pair with that specific mod, so airflow, wattage range and bottle capacity all work together from the start.
