What is an RDTA?

RDTA stands for Rebuildable Dripping Tank atomiser. The coil deck sits on top and the tank section hangs below it. Cotton tails drop down into the tank and wick liquid upward to the coils - gravity and capillary action do the work. It's the closest thing to dripping flavour you'll get without actually having to drip.

The main difference between a vape RDTA and an RTA is where the deck sits. On an RTA the deck is inside the tank with juice ports feeding liquid across. On an RDTA the deck is fully exposed on top with the tank underneath. That open deck means airflow hits the coil more directly, which is why RDTA flavour tends to punch harder.

Every tank RDTA holds liquid below the deck so you get longer sessions than a pure RDA without having to keep topping up. Mesh RDTAs need careful wicking to avoid dry hits - the strip has to make solid contact with the juice well below. Standard wire builds are more forgiving if you're new to this style.
