Aspire Coils

It depends on your device. Nautilus tanks use Nautilus BVC coils, the Cleito tank uses Cleito coils, the Atlantis line uses Atlantis SE coils, and Aspire pod kits like the Gotek use push-fit BP coils. Every listing names the tank or kit it fits, so match the coil to your device and pick the resistance that suits your draw.

Most Aspire coils last around one to two weeks with regular use, though sweeter or darker e-liquids can shorten that. When the flavour turns muted or starts to taste burnt, it is time for a fresh one. Priming a new coil and letting it soak for a few minutes before vaping helps it last longer.

The ohm figure is the coil’s resistance. Higher resistances, around 1.0 ohm and above, give a tighter mouth-to-lung draw at lower power and suit nic salts. Sub-ohm coils below 1.0 ohm run at higher wattage for warmer clouds and a direct-to-lung hit. Pick the resistance that matches how you like to vape.

They are closely related. BVC stands for bottom vertical coil, the design Aspire uses across several tanks. Nautilus coils are the BVC heads made specifically for the Nautilus tank family, so a Nautilus coil is a BVC coil, but a standard BVC coil for an older clearomiser will not always fit a Nautilus. Check the listing for the exact tank.

Before you fit a new Aspire coil, put a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton so it is soaked through. Fit it, fill the tank or pod, then let it stand for five to ten minutes. Starting at a lower wattage for the first few puffs helps the wick saturate fully and avoids a dry, burnt first hit.

BP coils are Aspire’s push-fit coils for their pod kits, including the Gotek range. Instead of screwing in, they press straight into the base of the pod, which makes changing them quick and mess-free. They come in a few resistances, so you can run a tighter mouth-to-lung draw for nic salts or a more open one for a softer all-day vape.
