OXVA Xlim Pro 2 DNA

The OXVA Xlim Pro 2 DNA is the DNA Version of the Xlim Pro 2, built around an OXVA x Evolv DNA chip, and OXVA call it the first pod with a DNA chip for dry hit prevention. It adds anti-burn protection and a Replay button to a 1300mAh, 5 to 30W pod kit, and sits with the rest of the OXVA vapes we sell.

If you have ever had a dry hit from a pod that was nearly empty, this is the kit OXVA made to stop it. The anti-burn and Replay features work with OXVA's Xlim Top Fill Stainless Steel cartridges, two of which come in the box, and the Pro 2 DNA still takes every other Xlim cartridge as well.

Evolv DNA Inside

The Xlim Pro 2 DNA has an Evolv DNA chip inside, made with OXVA. Evolv's DNA boards are known from DNA mods, and OXVA rate this chip at 30,000 readings a second, which they say makes it 300 times more responsive than regular chips.

It is not the Evolv DNA One, which is Evolv's own pod kit. This is OXVA's Xlim Pro 2 with the DNA chip built in.

Anti-Burn Protection

With an Xlim stainless steel cartridge fitted, the chip controls the coil temperature and stops it dry burning when the cartridge is empty or low on e-liquid. OXVA say this keeps the flavour from fading even at low battery and gives the cartridge over 30% longer life than a quality kanthal coil.

Flavour Replay

When a puff tastes right, press the Replay button. The chip follows the output curve of that last puff from then on, so every puff after it matches. OXVA's manual lists Replay for the Xlim stainless steel cartridges only.

How to Use the OXVA Xlim Pro 2 DNA

To use the OXVA Xlim Pro 2 DNA, hold the Replay and Function buttons together for 2 seconds to turn it on, then draw or press the fire button to vape. These are the controls from OXVA's manual:

Before the first puff on a fresh cartridge:

1. Fill the cartridge from the top and close it straight away to help stop leaks.
2. Leave it for 5 to 8 minutes, as OXVA's manual advises, so the coil soaks and does not burn.
3. Set the side airflow, turn the kit on and draw.

If the kit seems stuck in storage mode after sitting unused, OXVA's manual says it turns itself off after 1.5 days without use to save the battery. Hold both buttons for 2 seconds to turn it back on.

EScribe Software and PC Settings

OXVA point owners to Evolv's EScribe software on a PC for custom power and flavour curves. Evolv describe EScribe as software for configuring, monitoring and changing how a DNA device works, and list a separate OXVA EScribe download for Windows. The USB-C cable in the box carries data as well as charge, so you connect the kit with it.

Xlim Pro 2 DNA Pod Compatibility

Every Xlim cartridge fits the Xlim Pro 2 DNA, but anti-burn and Replay only work with the stainless steel ones:

The kit comes with a 0.6 ohm stainless steel cartridge fitted and a 0.8 ohm in the box. Spare Xlim SS pods come in packs of three.
