Orion II Pro Plus Auto Draw Pod Kit

The Orion II Pro Plus is the first Orion you can vape without pressing anything. Draw on it and it fires. The button is still there if you prefer it, but you no longer need it.

Everything underneath carries over from the Orion II Pro. The same 1900mAh battery, the same 5W to 50W, the same 0.99in colour screen, the same zinc alloy body under a PVD finish. LVE call it the Pro+ and it sits at the top of the LVE range.

How the Auto Draw Works

Auto draw happens when the Pro Plus is paired with the new Pro Plus pod cartridges. That pairing is what fires on a draw.

Every other combination still works, it just fires on the button instead. Put an Orion II Pro pod in the Pro Plus and you vape it exactly as you would on the older kit.

It holds in reverse too. The new cartridges fit an Orion II Pro and vape normally there, they simply will not auto draw on it.

So nothing you already own is stranded and nothing you buy now is tied to one kit. Auto draw is the one thing that needs both halves.

Choosing a Pod Cartridge

The cartridges carry the coil inside them, so there is no separate coil to fit and nothing to prime beyond a two minute wait. There are three resistances. The 0.4 ohm gives a richer restricted lung draw at 25W to 30W, the 0.6 ohm balances flavour and vapour at 18W to 24W, and the 0.8 ohm is the mouth to lung option at 13W to 17W. All are sold in twos.

The existing Orion II Pro coils fit the Pro Plus as well, in the same three resistances, so there is more than one route to the draw you want. Those fire on the button rather than auto draw.

What the Controls Do

The fill slider sits on the side, so you top up without taking the cartridge out or turning the kit over. Next to it is the cartridge lock, which clamps the pod rather than relying on magnets alone.

Airflow adjustment is there for RBA use, set with precision pins rather than a slider, so the draw is repeatable once you find it. The mesh cartridges come with their airflow already set for their resistance.

The side panels are replaceable, which is why third-party Orion II panels exist for this platform at all.

Screen, Power and Charging

The 0.99in colour screen reads wattage, battery percentage, coil resistance, puff count and voltage, with up and down buttons to move power in 0.1W steps anywhere from 5W to 50W.

The 1900mAh battery holds its output as it drains rather than tailing off, and Type-C brings it back to full in under an hour. Heavy vaping near 50W is a working day, lower wattages go considerably further.

The Finishes

LVE make 24 finishes across four body colours, black, silver, grey and blue, split into a carbon fibre collection and a resin collection.

The finish is PVD rather than paint, bonded rather than sprayed, so it takes pocket wear far better than a coated pod kit does.

Building Your Own

The Orion II Pro RBA fits the Pro Plus and works on the button. Airflow pins let you set draw resistance precisely, and the platform takes builds from tight mouth to lung up to restricted lung.

LVE have an auto draw RBA in development for this kit. It is not released and there is no date for it, so treat it as something coming rather than something to hold out for.

Pro or Pro Plus

If you want to pick it up and draw with nothing to press, the Pro Plus is the only Orion that does it. If a fire button suits you, the Orion II Pro does everything else the same for less.

Battery, power, screen, pods, coils, RBA and finishes are shared. Auto draw is the difference.
