Orion II Pro Plus Pods

These are the cartridges that make the Orion II Pro Plus fire on a draw. The mesh coil sits inside the cartridge, so there is no separate coil to press in and nothing to prime beyond a short wait after filling. They come two to a pack across the LVE range of resistances.

Which Resistance To Pick

The 0.4 ohm is the warmest of the three, sitting at 25W to 30W for a restricted lung draw with more vapour behind it. Higher VG liquids suit it best.

The 0.6 ohm is the middle option at 18W to 24W, holding flavour and vapour in balance, and it takes both 50/50 and higher VG liquids without complaint. Most people settle here.

The 0.8 ohm is the mouth to lung choice at 13W to 17W, tighter and cooler, and it draws less from the battery across a day. It pairs with 50/50 nic salts and higher PG liquids.

What Auto Draw Needs

Auto draw is the pairing of these cartridges with the Orion II Pro Plus. Both halves have to be the Plus version for the kit to fire on a draw rather than on the button.

Fit one to an Orion II Pro instead and it vapes exactly as you would expect, at the same wattages and with the same flavour, but it fires on the button. Nothing is lost apart from the auto draw itself.

Filling And Fitting

Slide the fill port open on the side of the cartridge, fill it, then close the slider. The cartridge stays in the kit while you do it, so there is no pulling it out and no dripping down the body.

Leave a newly filled cartridge two minutes before the first puff so the mesh wicks through. Start a few watts under the range and work up for the first handful of puffs, and the coil will last considerably longer.

Cartridges Or Pods And Coils

The older route is still open. An Orion II Pro empty pod with a coil pressed into it fits both kits, which works out cheaper per fill because you replace only the coil.

These cartridges trade that against having nothing to fit, nothing to seat wrong and nothing to prime by hand. The Orion II Pro coils cover the same three resistances if you would rather go that way.
