Replacement Coils for Every Tank and Pod Kit
Every vape tank and pod kit needs a specific replaceable coil to work properly. The coil is the part that heats your e-liquid into vapour and they wear out over time. You might also see them called replacement atomisers or electronic cigarette coils but they are all the same thing. When flavour drops off or you get a burnt taste, it is time to swap in a fresh replacement coil.
Finding the right coils for your vape is straightforward once you know the model name. It will be printed on the tank itself or listed in the box your kit came in. Match that to the coil range and you are sorted. If you are not sure, get in touch and we will tell you which coils fit.

Sub-Ohm, MTL and DTL Coils
Coil resistance is measured in ohms and it decides how your vape performs. Here is a quick breakdown of the three main coil types:
|
Coil Type
|
Resistance
|
Best For
|
|
Sub-Ohm
|
0.15 - 0.6 ohm
|
Big clouds, DTL vaping, 70/30+ juice
|
|
MTL
|
0.8 - 1.6 ohm
|
Tight draws, nic salts, 50/50 juice
|
|
DTL - RDL
|
0.2 - 0.5 ohm
|
Direct lung draws, restricted airflow
|
Sub-ohm coils push more wattage for bigger clouds and warmer vapour. You will want 70/30 or higher VG juice with these and a nicotine strength of 3mg to 6mg.
MTL coils give a tighter draw that feels closer to a cigarette. They work best with 50/50 e-liquid and nic salts at 10mg or 20mg. Battery life lasts longer too because you are vaping at lower wattages.
DTL coils overlap with the sub-ohm range and sit between 0.2 and 0.5 ohm. Most modern sub-ohm tanks and kits come with at least one DTL coil option in the box.
Mesh Coils vs Traditional Wire
Mesh vape coils use a flat strip of mesh instead of wrapped wire. The bigger surface area heats e-liquid more evenly so you get better flavour with no hot spots. Mesh coils also tend to last longer than traditional wire builds because the heat spreads out rather than concentrating on one point.
Why most vapers have switched to mesh:
- Better flavour from the larger heating surface
- Longer coil life compared to round wire
- Even heating with no hot spots or dry patches
- Available in both sub-ohm and MTL resistances
Traditional wire coils still have their place though. Some MTL vapers prefer the tighter, more restricted draw that a round wire coil gives. Wire coils are also cheaper and come in more resistance options if you need something specific for your setup.
Vape Coil Multipacks UK
Buying compatible vape coil multipacks brings the cost per coil down compared to singles. Most brands sell packs of three to five coils and we stock multipack deals across SMOK, Vaporesso, GeekVape, Voopoo, Aspire and more.
Multipacks make sense if you:
- Vape sweet e-liquids that gunk up coils faster
- Go through more than one coil a week
- Want to keep spares on hand so you never run dry
- Vape sub-ohm where coils wear out quicker than MTL
We also carry wick, wire and coil supplies if you build your own. Kanthal, stainless steel and Ni80 wire plus organic cotton are all in stock for rebuildable tanks and RDAs.
How to Pick the Right Coil for Your Vape
Start with your tank or pod kit model. Every coil range is built for specific hardware so a SMOK TFV coil will not fit a Vaporesso tank. The model name is usually printed on the base or side of your tank. All vape coils for sale at Ecigone list the compatible tanks and kits on the product page.
Once you know the model, pick your resistance based on what you vape:
-
Vaping nic salt e-liquids - go for an MTL coil at 0.8 ohm or above
-
Vaping high VG shortfills - a sub-ohm coil between 0.15 and 0.5 ohm works best
- Want bigger clouds - lower resistance and higher wattage
- Want longer battery life - higher resistance and lower wattage

Coils by Brand
We stock coils from every major vape brand at Ecigone. SMOK TFV coils cover the Baby Beast through to TFV18. Vaporesso coils include the GTX range that works across pods and tanks. GeekVape coils cover the Z series and Boost platform. Voopoo PnP coils fit across multiple Voopoo kits in both MTL and sub-ohm options. Aspire coils include the Nautilus BVC range that is still one of the top MTL coils on the market.
If you have an older kit, we still carry coils for legacy tanks too. Our guide on all about vape coils covers compatibility in more detail.
