Which Caliburn Pod Fits Your Kit? The G Pod Platform Explained

Uwell has moved the whole Caliburn range onto one pod system, the G Pod Platform, usually shortened to GPP. If you are trying to work out which pod fits your kit, or what happened to the old Caliburn G3 pods, this guide covers the current pods, which Caliburn kits they fit and which resistance to pick. Every pod mentioned is in stock in the Caliburn pods range.
What is the G Pod Platform (GPP)?
GPP stands for G Pod Platform, the single refillable pod that fits the current Caliburn lineup: the Caliburn G3 Pro, the whole G4 family and the G5 family. Uwell also lists it as the Caliburn G pods or G4 cartridge. One pod format now covers all three generations, so you no longer need a different pod for each kit. The Caliburn GPP pods comes in four resistances from 0.4 ohm to 1.2 ohm with the mesh coil built into the pod.
GPP vs GPP ALPHA: what is the difference?
There are two versions of the platform pod. The standard GPP pod is the everyday choice. The newer GPP ALPHA pod uses Uwell's AlphaCore mesh coil, which holds flavour and lasts noticeably longer before it fades, and it top-fills through a soft-touch mouthpiece. Both come in the same four resistances and both fit the same G3 Pro, G4 and G5 kits, so the only real choice is standard for value or ALPHA for longer pod life.
What happened to the old Caliburn G3 pods?
The original Caliburn G3 pods have been discontinued and replaced by the G Pod Platform. If you have a G3 Pro, the GPP pod is now the correct refill, and it works exactly the same way with the mesh coil built in. So when you search for Caliburn G3 pods today, the pod you actually want is the GPP pod or the GPP ALPHA. Shop both in the Caliburn pods collection.
Which pod fits which Caliburn kit?
Almost every current Caliburn kit, from the G3 Pro to the flagship Caliburn G5, uses the GPP platform pod. The exception is the original Caliburn and Caliburn KOKO, which use the older 1.4 ohm push-to-fill pod. Here is the quick reference:
| Caliburn kit | Pod it takes |
|---|---|
| Caliburn G3 Pro / G3 Pro KOKO | GPP or GPP ALPHA |
| Caliburn G4 / G4 Pro / G4 Mini / G4 Classic / G4 Pro KOKO | GPP or GPP ALPHA |
| Caliburn G5 / G5 Lite / G5 KOKO | GPP or GPP ALPHA |
| Original Caliburn / Caliburn KOKO | Caliburn 1.4 ohm pod |
Not sure which to buy? Grab a kit or a refill in a couple of taps.
Do Caliburn G3 pods fit the G4?
Yes. Because the G3 Pro, G4 and G5 all use the same G Pod Platform, a GPP pod fits across all three. The old G3-labelled pod and the current GPP pod are the same platform, so a pod bought for a G3 Pro will fit a G4 or G5, and the other way round. If in doubt, buy the GPP pod and it will fit any current Caliburn.
Which resistance should I pick?
All four GPP resistances suit 10mg or 20mg nic salts and 50/50 e-liquid. Match the resistance to the draw you want:
| Resistance | Draw style | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 0.4 ohm | Restricted direct lung | Airier draw, 10mg nic salts |
| 0.6 ohm | Loose MTL | All-round, 10mg or 20mg |
| 0.9 ohm | MTL | Tighter draw, 20mg nic salts |
| 1.2 ohm | Tight cigarette-style MTL | Strongest throat hit, 20mg |
Pair any resistance with a nic salt flavour to suit your taste and strength.
Original Caliburn pods (1.4 ohm)
If you still vape the original Caliburn or Caliburn KOKO, those kits do not use the GPP platform. They take the original Caliburn 1.4 ohm pods, a 2ml push-to-fill pod with a 1.4 ohm coil, sold in packs of four. It is a tight MTL pod made for 20mg nic salts.
For flavour help, see our Caliburn e-liquid guide, which covers the best nic salts and 50/50 juice for the range.
