Vaporesso Armour OCTA Box Mod

Armour OCTA 220W Dual 18650 Mod
The Armour OCTA is the rugged 220W mod in the Armour range. This listing is for the mod on its own. No tank and no coils are included.
Two 18650 cells sit behind a locking door, and they are sold separately. Output goes up to 220W through a 510 connector.
The name comes from the eight ways Vaporesso have armoured it. Four are about surviving the outdoors, four are electrical.

What the Eight Protections Cover
Four cover the outside. IPX8 covers water, rated to a metre for half an hour or more. IPX9K covers a 100 bar pressure wash and IP6X means dust tight, on top of a 1.2m drop rating across 26 angles.
Vaporesso are clear that those tests were done on the mod alone. Fit a tank and you are back to the tank's own limits.
The other four are electrical, and they are the ones worth reading closely.

Battery Guard
Mixing old and new cells is the usual mistake with a dual battery mod. Vaporesso watch the gap between the two.
If the difference goes past 0.9V, the mod cuts output rather than firing. It is a sensible guard, not a substitute for pairing cells yourself.
Use a matched pair from the same batch and charge them together. Our 18650 batteries are sold in singles and pairs.

Charging and Overtime
Charging is Type-C at 5V 2.5A. If the mod reaches 75C while charging, it stops.
Overtime 2.0 handles the other common problem. Hold the fire button past 10 seconds and it cuts out, and a second trigger inside two minutes powers the mod down.
That covers a button pressed in a pocket, which is where most accidental firing happens. TPU protection seals the charge port when nothing is plugged in.
Build and Screen
The body carries a cage structure around the tank area rather than leaving it exposed. There is an anti collision pad on the base.
The 0.96 inch TFT panel is colour, and it locks with a swipe rather than a button sequence. It shows wattage, cell level and resistance.
At 146.3 x 30.8 x 55mm and 362g this is a full size dual battery mod, not a compact one.
Tanks and Coils
The 510 fits any standard tank, so this suits anyone already set up. Vaporesso pair it with the iTank T, which takes GTi coils.
Spares for that sit with the GTi replacement coils. Anything else in our vape tanks will thread on just the same.
If you want the tank already matched, the Armour OCTA vape kit is the other way to buy it.
Colours
There are six finishes, with the same cage and grip treatment across them all.

Aero White, Dark Black, Rally Blue, Rust Bronze, Titanium Grey and Vintage Green. Each one is stocked as its own variant, sitting within our range of box mods.
