SKE Crystal 600 Pro Review: What Changed From the Crystal Bar 600

The crystal look. A fiver that stays out of the bin.
The SKE Crystal 600 Pro is the rechargeable successor to the most recognised disposable Britain ever had, the Crystal Bar 600.
The short answer to the question everyone types is: no, it is not a disposable any more. Same pocket size, same tight draw, same Crystal Bar flavours, same see-through crystal look, but now there is a 400mAh USB-C battery that recharges in under an hour and £3.49 twin packs of prefilled pods, two 600-puff pods a time, that click in when the old one is finished.
This review covers what actually changed, what the pods honestly cost once the vape tax lands, how the Pro stacks up against the other 600-puff kits, and the flavours our customers reorder most. All ranked on our real sales data as one of the UK's biggest online vape shops.
The short SKE Crystal 600 Pro review
Buy the SKE Crystal 600 Pro if you loved the original Crystal Bar and want the same experience without binning a battery every time, or if you want the cheapest refills in the 600-puff class and the freedom to change flavour every couple of days.
Per millilitre the big 12ml kits still work out cheaper, and we show the honest maths below, but pod for pod nothing in the class beats it, and it is the one that keeps the crystal look and takes two whole pod ranges on one device.

What changed from the Crystal Bar 600
The original Crystal Bar 600 was a single-use disposable, and the UK ban of June 2025 ended it along with every other disposable on the shelf. The 600 Pro is SKE's answer, and the changes are exactly the ones the law required, with the character left alone.

Worth saying clearly for anyone still searching for the disposable: the experience is the same. The see-through design is what made the Crystal Bar the vape everyone recognised, and picking the kit up feels like picking up the original.
The difference is that where 600 puffs once cost you a whole device, it now costs £1.75 and the battery stays in your pocket.
The honest maths, on the millilitre rule
We judge every prefilled kit the same way: on the millilitres of liquid you are buying, because printed puff counts are approximate ratings that vary with how you draw. We reviewed the biggest of those 12ml kits in our SKE Bar 15k review, so you can weigh both sides of the family before choosing.
On that rule, here is the straight truth about the 600 Pro: a £3.49 twin pack carries 4ml, which works out around 87p per millilitre, against roughly 50p per millilitre on the big 12ml kits. Per millilitre, the big pods are still cheaper.
So why is the 600-puff format the one we think wins ground back from October? Because the Vaping Products Duty is charged per millilitre too, and that flips the story at the checkout. A 4ml twin pack picks up around £1.06 of duty, taking it from £3.49 to about £4.55. A big 12ml pod picks up around £3.17, jumping from £5.99 to over £9. One stays order-by-order money; the other starts feeling like a commitment.
Add the freedom to change flavour every couple of days instead of tying 12ml to one choice, and the small pod buys you agility the big kits cannot, even though the spreadsheet says the big pod is cheaper per millilitre. Both things are true, and you should pick knowing both. Our UK vape tax guide has the duty maths for every format, and our 600-puff collection gathers the whole class in one place.
SKE Crystal 600 Pro vs the other 600-puff kits
The 600-puff class has three serious names, and they split on price and character rather than liquid, since every 2ml pod in the class is the same size by law.
The Elf Bar 600 is the cheapest way in at £2.49 for the kit, and the gentlest bridge for anyone straight off the old disposables. The Lost Mary BM600 at £4.99 brings the bigger 750mAh battery and the Lost Mary flavour family, with its £3.99 twin packs working out around £2 per pod.
The Crystal 600 Pro sits between them at £3.99, and its £3.49 twin packs make it the cheapest kit in the class to keep running at about £1.75 per pod, with the two things the others do not have on top: the see-through crystal tank and the widest pod compatibility in the class, since it takes the Crystal Plus range as well as its own.
Honest summary: buy the Elf Bar for the lowest first pound, the Crystal 600 Pro for the lowest refill pound, the crystal character and the biggest flavour reach, and the BM600 if you are settled in the Lost Mary flavours or want the biggest battery of the three. Our BM600 vs BM6000 comparison covers Lost Mary's side of the family in full.

The full range is on the SKE Crystal 600 Pro pods collection, and the same recipes come as 10ml bottles in the SKE Crystal nic salt range for refillable kits, ranked in our Crystal flavours guide.
Compatible with Crystal Plus pods too
A detail most listings skip: the 600 Pro is not locked to its own pods. It also takes the SKE Crystal Plus pod range, which uses the same 2ml prefilled format at 20mg, so one £3.99 battery reaches across two pod ranges of flavours. If flavour choice is what you loved about the disposable era, this is the widest reach any 600-puff kit offers.
How to set up and charge the SKE Crystal 600 Pro
Setup takes under a minute.
- Charge the kit over USB-C
- Peel the sticker from a pod
- Push the pod into the top until it clicks
- Inhale to vape.
There are no buttons, no modes and nothing to fill.
Charging is the question people ask most, so here it is plainly: the 400mAh battery charges from flat to full in under an hour over USB-C, any standard phone cable works (not included in the box), and the light on the device stays on while charging and goes off when it is full.
When a pod starts tasting weak, the liquid is done: pull it out and click in the second pod from the pack, coil included.
How we reviewed and ranked the SKE Crystal600 Pro
This review is built from what we can actually measure. The flavour ranking is our own sales and reorder data across the 600 Pro pod range, not a sponsored list. The comparisons use our live prices on the kits as we sell them. The duty figures use the confirmed rate of £2.20 per 10ml plus VAT arriving on 1 October 2026. Where a number is a manufacturer rating rather than a measurement, such as puff counts, we say so, and we judge on millilitres instead.
The crystal look. A fiver that stays out of the bin.
