How to Open Elux Liquid Bottles
To open Elux liquid, push the cap down and turn it anti-clockwise at the same time. That is the first step on Elux's own leaflet for Elux Legend nic salts, and the cap will not come off if you only turn it.

How to Open Elux Liquid
An Elux Legend bottle has a child-resistant cap, so it only unlocks when you press and turn together:
- Shake the bottle first, as Elux advise.
- Hold the bottle upright and press the cap straight down.
- Keep pressing and turn the cap anti-clockwise at the same time.
- Lift the cap off once it turns freely.
If the cap turns but does not loosen, you are turning without enough pressure on it. Push down harder and turn again.
Why Can't I Open My Elux Liquid
The most common reason is turning the cap without pushing it down at the same time. The cap is made to resist exactly that, because UK law says a nicotine refill bottle must be child-resistant and tamper-evident.
If pushing and turning together still does nothing, try these in order:
- Wipe the cap: dried e-liquid on the thread can glue the cap on. Wipe the neck and cap with a dry tissue.
- Get more grip: a rubber glove or a tea towel round the cap stops your hand slipping as you turn.
- Warm the cap: hold only the cap under warm tap water for about half a minute, dry it, then push and turn again.
Avoid pliers, knives and teeth. They can crack the cap or the nozzle, and a damaged bottle can leak.

How to Refill an Elux Vape
It depends on the kit. An Elux prefilled pod kit, such as the Elux Legend 1500 Prefilled Pod Kit, takes a new prefilled pod, so you swap the pod rather than fill it.
The same goes for Elux Legend 8000 refill pods, which you swap rather than fill.
Elux Legend nic salts are for refillable pod kits, and Elux give these steps for filling a pod from the bottle:
- Shake the bottle and take the cap off as above.
- Put the nozzle into the filling port of your pod. Elux give the nozzle width as 1.8 to 2.6mm.
- Squeeze the bottle gently to fill the pod.
- Pull the nozzle out carefully and put the cap back on.
