Vaporesso Armour Ultra Vape Kit

The Vaporesso Armour Ultra is a 100W sub-ohm vape kit built around a 5500mAh battery, with the mod sealed to IP68 and IP69K and drop tested to MIL-STD-810H. It pairs the Armour Ultra mod with the iTank T and two GTi dual mesh coils, so it is ready to fill and vape out of the box.

Vaporesso unveiled the Armour Ultra on 26 September 2025, and it sits in the Vaporesso Armour range next to the Armour G pod mod.

5500mAh Battery and 9V Charging

Vaporesso say the 5500mAh battery of the Armour Ultra gives close to the battery life of two 18650 cells, in a mod they rate 25% smaller and 25% lighter than the Armour S.

Their figure is up to three days from one charge, though that depends on the coil and the wattage you pick. It charges over USB-C at 9V/2A or 5V/3A, and the screen shows the time left to full.

Boost Mode on the AXON Chip

Boost is the default mode and the highest output. It raises the voltage for better first-puff flavour and more vapour, and Vaporesso rate it 25% more stable than Pulse and 40% more than Eco. Pulse holds a steady temperature through each puff. Eco is plain, constant wattage and lasts longest on a charge, and TC covers nickel, stainless steel and titanium coils.

Vaporesso IP69K: Is the Armour Ultra Waterproof?

Only the mod is. Vaporesso certify the Armour Ultra mod to three standards, and each one covers something different:

• IP68: waterproof to a depth of 1m for 30 minutes or more.
• IP69K: dust tight, and rated for high pressure water jets and water up to 80°C.
• MIL-STD-810H: drops from 1.2m onto the front, the corners and other angles.

Vaporesso say the ratings apply to the mod only, tested to third party lab standards. They do not cover the iTank T, which is a glass tank, and the kit includes a spare glass tube and a spare tank protector.

The buttons are waterproofed, the USB-C port has a cover, and a lock slider locks every button to stop the kit firing in a pocket.

Vaporesso Armour Ultra Tank: the iTank T

The tank in the kit is the iTank T, a sub-ohm tank on the GTi coil platform. The top cap slides open so you can fill it with one hand, and the airflow is at the top, set by turning a ring that has a scale marked on it.

The mod has a reinforced 510 connector. The iTank T screws on like any 510 tank, and other 510 tanks fit the mod too.

Vaporesso Armour Ultra Coils

The Armour Ultra takes Vaporesso GTi coils. Two come in the box with the kit, both dual mesh: a 0.2 ohm fitted in the tank and a 0.4 ohm spare. Vaporesso rate the dual mesh at 30% longer coil life.

Every GTi coil fits the iTank T. These are Vaporesso's recommended wattages:

Turn SMART on in the settings and the mod suggests the wattage for the GTi coil fitted. To change a coil, unscrew the base of the tank, pull the old coil out, push the new one in and screw the base back.

The iTank T is built for GTi coils. GTX coils are a separate Vaporesso platform, even though the names are close, and the full split by kit is on the Vaporesso replacement coils page.

Armour Ultra Kit or Armour Ultra Mod

The Armour Ultra mod is the same device on its own: the same 5500mAh battery, 100W, screen and ratings, sold without the tank or coils for a 510 tank you already own.

Buy the kit if you need a tank as well. Buy the mod if you already have one you like.

Best E-liquid for the Vaporesso Armour Ultra

The Armour Ultra is a direct to lung kit, so it suits high VG shortfill e-liquid, usually 70/30 with a nicotine shot added to make 3mg or 6mg.

Both coils in the box are sub-ohm and sit at 50W and above. Nic salt at 10mg or 20mg is made for low wattage mouth to lung kits, not for these coils.

How to Use the Vaporesso Armour Ultra

Fill the tank, wait five minutes, then set the wattage for the coil.

1. Charge the kit over USB-C.
2. Push the top cap of the iTank T to slide it open, fill it with e-liquid, then lock the cap closed.
3. Wait five minutes so the e-liquid soaks into the coil.
4. Press the power button five times within two seconds to switch on.
5. Set the wattage with the up and down buttons: 60 to 75W on the 0.2 ohm coil, 50 to 60W on the 0.4 ohm.
6. Turn the airflow ring on top of the tank to open or close the draw.
7. Press the power button to vape.

Press the power button three times for the menu, where you choose Boost, Pulse, Eco or TC and turn SMART on or off. Slide the lock button, or press the power button four times, to lock every button.
