What Is a Boro Mod?
A boro mod is a vape where the tank sits inside the body of the mod instead of screwing onto a 510 connector on top. The tank itself is called a boro tank. It's a rectangular chamber that slides into the mod and holds your e-liquid, coil and wick all in one unit. You might also see them called boro tank mods, which just means the same thing.
The format started with the Billet Box. That was the first boro vape to use this internal tank layout, and the boro tank size it created became the standard. Now dozens of manufacturers make boro mods that accept the same boro tank format, which means you can swap tanks, bridges and RBA decks between different boro kits. That's what makes the boro AIO format so popular with hobbyist vapers. Boro AIO mods give you that modular tank setup in a compact body.
AIO Vape vs Boro Mod - What's the Difference?
AIO stands for all in one. An all in one vape mod puts the battery, tank and coil into a single unit with nothing to screw together. Every boro mod is technically an AIO, but not every AIO is a boro mod.
The difference is the tank format. A boro AIO uses a specific boro tank that's swappable and often rebuildable. Standard AIO vapes usually have a fixed internal tank or a proprietary pod that only fits that one kit. If you want to swap tanks, change bridges or rebuild your coils, you want a boro mod. If you just want the best AIO vape that works out of the box, a simpler all in one vape kit does the job. Either way, AIO boro kits and standard AIO vape kits both live in this collection.
18650 vs 21700 Boro Mods
Most boro mods run on a single removable battery. The two common sizes are 18650 and 21700. An 18650 boro mod is more compact, a 21700 boro mod lasts longer per charge.

A 21700 boro mod gives you roughly 30-40% more battery life than an 18650 battery. If you vape above 40W or just don't want to carry a spare, go 21700. Most DNA boro mods and newer 21700 AIO kits come in both sizes.
DNA Boro Mods
DNA boro mods run Evolve DNA chipsets, the same boards used in high end regulated mods. They're the most accurate boards you can get for temperature control and consistent wattage. If you're running a rebuildable boro tank with custom coils, a DNA board reads the resistance more accurately and adjusts faster than standard chipsets.
Common DNA boards in boro mods include the DNA60C and DNA75C. Both support TC with nickel, titanium and stainless steel wire. You can also connect to Escribe software on a PC to fine-tune every setting. For most vapers, a DNA boro mod is the endgame.
