Centaurus M120 S Box Mod

Box mods are usually built for clouds first and a tight draw is an afterthought. Lost Vape have gone the other way with the Centaurus M120 S. It has a dedicated MTL mode alongside Power and Turbo, and it still reaches 120W when you want it to, so one mod covers a mouth to lung tank on Monday and a sub ohm tank at the weekend.

This page is the mod on its own, no tank. If you want it with the Centaurus Nano MTL Tank and two coils included, that is the Centaurus M120 S Kit.

One thing to keep straight. The S is the built in battery version, 5500mAh, nothing to buy. The plain M120 without the S is the one that takes a removable 21700 or 18650. This is the S.

MTL, Power and Turbo

MTL holds a low steady output for a tight draw, and the wattage it lets you pick moves with the resistance of the coil you have fitted. Power is the ordinary wattage mode. Turbo leans on the front of the draw for a quicker ramp. Three modes covers most of what anyone actually changes, which is more than you get on plenty of box mods at twice the size.

5500mAh and No Cells to Buy

5500mAh is a large battery for a mod 97mm tall, and on an MTL coil pulling 10W it lasts. Charging is over Type-C at 5V and 2A. For anyone moving up from a pod kit it removes the part that puts most people off a mod, which is buying, charging and carrying loose batteries.

The Screen and Six Themes

A 1.47 inch TFT with six layouts. Wattage, resistance, puff count and battery are on all of them, arranged to taste. It is a lot more screen than the 0.96 inch panels most regulated mods at this size carry.

What Fits It

A standard 510, so anything you already own goes on. Lost Vape point at their own Centaurus Nano MTL, Centaurus Sub Ohm and Centaurus V2 Sub-Ohm Tank, and the 0.1ohm to 3.0ohm range means an MTL tank at 1.2ohm and a mesh tank at 0.15ohm are both inside it.

Working the Buttons

A slide switch on the body turns it off, which is the sane way to put a mod in a bag. One click wakes the screen, three clicks opens the menu, hold for two seconds to back out, four clicks to lock the wattage. There is an indicator light ringing the fire button for the battery level.

Colours

Four: Destiny Black, Destiny Gold, Destiny Orange and Pulsar Blue. Three carry a tarot card figure pressed into a matte panel and Pulsar Blue is painted, a gold swirl over deep blue.
