Troubleshooting the Hayati Pro Ultra Plus: E2 Error, Charging and One Side Not Working

Most Hayati Pro Ultra Plus faults come down to how the refill pack sits in the kit. They usually take a minute to fix.
This guide covers the E2 error, charging, one side not working and no vapour, in the order to try them. The setup steps come from Hayati's own video and product pictures.
When you need a new one, our Hayati Pro Ultra Plus refill pods range has every flavour.

Quick Checks to Try First
Start with these five checks, as they cover the most common faults on a new kit or a new refill.
- Take the white sticker, the silicone plugs and the hard rubber off a new refill pack.
- Fit each refill container on the side with the matching colour and number.
- Push the refill all the way down into the kit. Hayati's video shows the lotus light coming on once it's in.
- Check the battery number on the screen, and charge the kit if it's low.
- Look at the refill container in use. They're see-through, so you can see if it's empty.
Know the Parts Before You Start
Knowing which part does what makes most faults easier to spot.
- Each refill pack is a 2ml prefilled pod with two 10ml auto-refill containers, one each side of the mouthpiece.
- Each refill container has its own coil, so the two flavours stay apart.
- The mouthpiece sits over one refill container at a time, and you turn it to switch.
- The screen shows the battery level, plus L or R for the side in use.

What Does E2 Mean on a Hayati Pro Ultra?
E2 on a Hayati Pro Ultra Plus usually means the kit cannot read the refill. That points to a poor connection between the two.
Hayati don't publish an error code list for this kit. On most pod kits, E2 means a pod connection fault, so start there.
- Pull the refill up and out of the kit.
- Wipe the metal contacts on the refill and inside the kit with a dry tissue. If there is e-liquid on them, let both dry first.
- Check the refill for cracks or leaks.
- Check both refill containers are on their matching sides.
- Push the refill back down until it sits flat, then draw.
If E2 comes back, try a new refill. If it still shows with a new one fitted, the fault is likely inside the kit itself.
Our vape error codes guide covers the other codes you might see on a screen.
Why Is My Hayati Pro Ultra Not Charging?
The Pro Ultra Plus charges through the USB-C port on the side of the kit. No cable comes in the box, so use any USB-C cable you have.
Once it's plugged in, the battery number on the screen should start to climb. If it doesn't, work through these:
- Try a different USB-C cable, as worn cables are a common cause.
- Try a different plug or USB port.
- Look in the port for fluff or dirt, and clear it gently with a wooden toothpick.
- Check the cable is pushed fully into the port.
Hayati don't give a charge time for this kit. Our vape not charging guide has more checks if it still won't charge.
Why Is One Side of My Hayati Pro Ultra Not Working?
If one side won't fire, check the mouthpiece first. It needs to sit fully down over that refill container.
To switch sides, lift the mouthpiece, turn it 180 degrees and push it back down. Our Hayati Pro Ultra Plus kit page shows how to switch flavours step by step.

The screen then shows L or R for the side in use. If the mouthpiece is down and that side still won't fire, check that refill container has e-liquid left.
Each refill container has its own coil, so one side can empty before the other. You can keep vaping the full side until both are done.
No Vapour or a Burnt Taste
If nothing happens when you draw, check the screen. A blank screen usually means the battery is flat, so charge it first.
On a new refill, check every sticker and plug has come off. Then take it out and push it back down until it sits flat.
A burnt or weak taste usually means the refill container in use is nearly empty. Switch to the other side, or fit a new refill.
Short breaks between puffs help too, as fast, long draws can taste harsh.
When to Get in Touch
If a fault stays after a full charge, a clean and a new refill, the kit may be faulty. Contact us with your order number and what the screen shows.
For the Hayati Pro Max Plus, our Pro Max Plus troubleshooting guide covers that kit instead.
If you'd like to try another brand, our prefilled pod vape kits range has kits that work the same way.
Pods for those kits, and for every other brand, are in our prefilled pods and vape refills range.
