VMATE Max 2 30W Pod Kit

The Voopoo VMATE Max 2 is the newest kit in the VMATE range. The step up from the original VMATE Max is mostly battery and screen.

Voopoo have gone from 1200mAh to 2100mAh, which they rate at six days between charges. The 0.85 inch HD display sits hidden behind the panel until the kit is in use.

Output goes from 5W to 30W in an aluminium alloy body, and there are eight finishes to pick from.

Like every VMATE kit, the Max 2 vape kit uses a cartridge rather than a separate coil, and this one takes the VMATE Cartridge V4. That puts it in the refillable vape kit category rather than anything prefilled. Two come in the box at 0.4 ohm and 0.7 ohm. UK pods hold 2ml to stay inside TPD rules, and they fill from the top rather than through a side plug.

The 0.7 ohm is the tighter of the two and suits nic salts. The 0.4 ohm opens the draw out for restricted lung vaping on 50/50 e-liquids.

The Hidden Screen

The 0.85 inch panel is the part people notice first. It stays dark against the finish until you fire or press the button.

Then it shows wattage, puff count and battery. Voopoo call it a hidden horizon screen.

In a pocket the kit reads as a plain slab rather than something with a display bolted on the front. All eight colours keep the same panel treatment.

Multi-Flavour Mode

Rather than leaving you to guess a wattage, the Max 2 carries four presets: fruit, herb, drink and dessert.

Each one sets the power curve for that style of e-liquid. A dessert flavour is treated differently to a cold fruit.

It does not replace setting the wattage by hand, and you can still do that. It is a starting point if you change flavour often.

Battery and Charging

For a pod kit this size, 2100mAh is a lot of battery. It is the biggest single change from the first VMATE Max, which carried 1200mAh.

Voopoo quote six days of use. That will depend on how hard you vape and which pod is fitted.

Charging is Type-C at 5V 2A. Seven protections cover overtime at five seconds, overtemperature, overcharge, output over-current, low battery, short circuit and max power.

What Changed in the Pod

The V4 cartridge is not the same part as the older VMATE pods. Voopoo have wrapped the coil fully in golden cotton rather than leaving sections of it exposed.

They have also reworked the airflow so it feeds from the bottom. Both changes aim at the same thing, holding flavour steady, deeper into the pod.

The shell is PCTG and the fill port is on top.

Voopoo quote 3ml on their own material because that is the size sold outside the UK. The pods we sell are the 2ml TPD version, which is the legal maximum here.

The resistance range covers 0.4 to 3.0 ohm, wider than the two pods in the box. That leaves room for the 1.0 ohm cartridge if you want a tighter draw later.

Colours

Eight finishes are made, and the panel treatment is the same across all of them.

Blue, pink, brown, purple, green, silver, denim blue and luxury black. Each one is stocked as its own variant.
