Luxe XR Replacement Pods

These are the empty pods for the Vaporesso Luxe kits that use a separate coil. There is no coil inside: you fit a GTX coil yourself, which means the pod can be reused if you want to switch coils. Two XR pods are included per pack.

The Luxe XR pod is the part that holds the e-liquid and carries the mouthpiece. It clips on magnetically and the coil pushes into its base, so a coil change takes seconds and needs no tools.

Coils are sold separately. The one to fit depends on the replacement pod you choose and the draw you want. Vaporesso sell the Luxe XR MTL and the DTL pods as two different pods rather than one pod with two mouthpieces.

MTL or DTL: Which Replacement Pod to Pick

Vaporesso make their Luxe XR pods in two versions.

1. The MTL pod has the narrower mouthpiece and takes the higher resistances for a tight draw on nic salt.
2. The DTL pod has the wider mouthpiece and takes the low resistances for a lung draw on shortfill.

Pick the refill pod that matches how you vape, then match the coil to that. If you do both draws depending on the day, buying one of each is the way people usually do it, since swapping a coil is quicker than swapping a mouthpiece.

Which GTX Coil Goes In Which Luxe XR Pod

Vaporesso split the coil range by pod, and the wattages below are their own published figures for each coil. The 0.6 ohm is the crossover: it works in either pod.

The 0.15, 0.2 and 0.3 ohm coils come as dual mesh as well as mesh. GTX coils are sold five to a pack, so one pack of coils lasts a long time against one pack of pods.

Vape Kits The Luxe XR Pods are Compatible With

Vaporesso list the Luxe XR pod as fitting the Luxe XR, the Luxe XR Max and the Luxe XR Max 2, where it is the pod that comes in the box.

It also fits the Luxe X family. Vaporesso state on their own Luxe X, Luxe X2, Luxe X3 and Luxe X Pro pages that those kits take the Luxe XR empty pod with GTX coils, so an X3 owner can use these.

One thing to watch on the Luxe X3: Vaporesso list it as taking GTX coils from 0.3 ohm upward rather than the whole range, because it is a 45W device. The Luxe X pod is a different part with the coil sealed inside, and those kits take either.

Filling It, and Coil Replacement

The fill plug is in the base of the Luxe XR pod. Vaporesso's own instruction is to take the pod off the battery, pull the silicone plug out of the bottom, fill through the hole, then press the plug firmly back in.

Vaporesso Luxe XR coil replacement is the same sort of job: take the pod off, pull the used coil out of the base, push the new one in, and put the pod back. Nothing screws in. Leave a replacement coil to soak for a few minutes before the first draw, which is what stops it tasting burnt.
