Smok Novo Axis Pod Kit

The Novo Axis is SMOK's answer to a screen that gets in the way. The 0.96 inch TFT sits stealthed into the body and shows you three things, battery level, which power mode you are in, and a puff count. Everything else stays out of sight until you ask for it.

Underneath it is a 1350mAh battery on the Novo Pod SLR 2.0, the same pod that fits a long list of older kits in the Novo range. If you have owned a Novo before, there is a fair chance your spare pods still work.

Three power modes let you decide whether you want the flavour or the battery life, and at 67.1g it is one of the lighter kits SMOK have put a screen on. It takes 10mg or 20mg nic salts.

The Stealth Screen

One click moves the power mode, three clicks opens the menu, five turns it on and off. That is the whole thing. The screen reads battery level, mode and puff count, and there is no menu tree to get lost in because there is almost nothing in it.

Three Power Modes and Eco Battery

ECO, NOR and PWR. ECO pulls the output back for the longest day, PWR pushes it for the warmest draw, NOR sits in between. There is also a separate Eco Battery setting that turns off the on screen animations, which is the sort of thing you switch on at four in the afternoon when the charge is getting low.

Style the Screen

Three themes, Classic, Dynamic and Rave. Classic is the plain readout, Dynamic adds movement, Rave is the loud one. It changes nothing about how the kit vapes, it just stops the screen looking like everyone else's.

Novo SLR 2.0 Pods

The Axis takes the Novo Pod SLR 2.0, a 2ml top refill pod. We already stock the SMOK Novo SLR pods in the two resistances that ship with this kit, and the same pod fits the Novo 2, Novo GT, Novo Classy, Novo Eco and several others, so an older Novo owner is not starting from scratch.

Which Pod to Fit

Four pods share the same fitting and the one you choose sets the draw. All four are 2ml top refill, and they sit alongside the rest of our replacement vape pods.

The 0.6ohm dual meshed is made for the Axis and does not fit the older Novo kits. It is not in our SLR range yet, and it will be added to that same pod page when it lands. A word on the wider family: the Novo 6 and Novo 6 Ultra use Novo 5 pods, so those do not cross over to this kit.

1350mAh and Type-C Charging

1350mAh at these wattages is a comfortable day for most people, and longer again if you sit in ECO. That is a bigger battery than most vape kits of this size carry. Charging is over Type-C. SMOK do not publish a charge time and the figures floating around do not add up against the stated current, so we have left it off rather than repeat a number we cannot stand behind.

Colours

Six finishes: Black, Bronze Gold, Malachite Blue, Platinum, Red and Sapphire Blue. All six carry the same etched spiral pattern under an IML textured surface, so the finish is in the material rather than painted on top. Sat next to the rest of our vape pod kits, it is one of the few with a pattern you can feel.
