The matcha reads grassy and lightly toasted with the faint umami edge real green tea carries, then condensed milk thickens it, sweet and slightly caramelised, and a soft vanilla rounds the finish toward cake batter. Nothing else on our shelves tastes like it, and there is no ice anywhere in the recipe.
