A Moscow mule by way of Tokyo. The lime is bright and peel forward, sweet in the way a cordial is, and the ginger behind it warms rather than burns, closer to ginger beer pepper than raw root. Crushed ice carries the finish with a light menthol edge. Drink recipes rarely survive the move into vapour this cleanly, and the ginger is the reason this one does.
