Precisio 2 Sub-Ohm Tank - Silver Night

The Silver Night is the limited edition of the Precisio 2 tank. There are just 5000 of them worldwide, in engraved stainless steel with a purple resin tip. BD Vape build these the way small French shops used to, which is why the engraving goes all the way round rather than stopping where the photograph ends.

Underneath the finish it is a straightforward sub ohm tank done carefully. Top fill under a twist lock cap, top airflow so the base stays sealed, an 810 tip you can swap, and two glass tubes in the box so you pick the shape you prefer.

It takes the BDC coils, and the ones in this box are the Boost version, which BD Vape rate for up to 100ml of e-liquid before the flavour drops off. That's a long time on one coil.

Two Glass Tubes

A straight tube and a bubble tube both come in the box, so the tank changes shape depending on which you fit. The straight one keeps the profile flush on a narrow mod, the bubble one bows out for a fuller look, which is rarer than it should be on vape tanks at this price. Swapping takes a minute and no tools are needed.

Top Fill With a Twist Lock

The cap twists a quarter turn and lifts away, which is faster than a thread and firmer than a push fit. It is the kind of detail that separates a boutique tank from the mass market rebuildables shelf. There is a positive lock when it goes back on, so it is not something that works loose in a bag. The tank stays on the mod throughout.

Top Airflow

Air comes in at the top and travels down to the coil, so there are no openings in the base for e-liquid to find. On a sub ohm tank pulling 70W that matters more than it does lower down, and it is why the better sub-ohm tanks have all moved this way.

The BDC Boost Coils

Four resistances cover the range and three of them are in the box. BD Vape rate the Boost version for up to 100ml of e-liquid, against the usual 20ml to 30ml before a coil starts tasting tired. Spares are on our BDC coil page, in the Boost version and the original.

What Is Inside the Coil

A stainless steel mesh in a diamond pattern rather than a plain strip, which spreads the heat across the whole surface instead of concentrating it in the middle.

The innermost cotton layer is a heat resistant fibre, which is the part that decides whether a coil goes dry and scorches or keeps tasting clean.

What to Put It On

Anything with a 510 and enough power behind it. At 26mm it sits square on a full size mod without overhang, and the 0.15ohm wants 70W, so a 100W Rayden 100 Mod is the obvious partner.

Fill it with a 70/30 shortfill at 3mg or 6mg. Anything thicker than that will struggle to keep up with a 0.15ohm mesh at 70W.

Silver Night Edition

Just five thousand of the limited edition are made. The engraving is a skull and vine motif cut into the top cap, the base and the airflow ring, and the resin tip is a deep purple that changes with the light.

BD Vape sell a plainer Precisio 2, but this is the one people will ask about. They have done the same thing on the mod side with the Rayden 100 V3 IM Kit, also a numbered edition.
