What are Shortfills?

Shortfill are a type of e-liquid that comes in larger bottles sizes above 10ml - so any e-liquid that ranges in size from 30 ml to 120 ml can be considered a shortfill. The name shortfill comes from the fact that, for example, a 60ml shortfill will have a pre-made mix of VG/PG and flavourings that total 50ml, leaving you 10ml of space to add your nicotine shot.

This number grows as the bottle sizes increase, for instance a 120ml shortfill will contain 100ml of VG/PG and flavourings, which gives you space for two 10ml nicotine shots to make 120ml of 3mg strength freebase e-liquid.

You can also remove some of the shortfill e-liquid if you’d like some more space for an extra nic shot or two. There are plenty of free online calculators that will show you what ratio is best for you based on the bottle size and your desired final nicotine content.

Shortfills are one of the most common forms of e-liquid after nic salts, and are available in an almost limitless range of flavour profiles from fruits and drinks, to menthol and dessert/bakery flavours.
