What Are Vape Tanks?

Vape tanks are known by many different names such as clearomizers and atomizers, but tanks are more commonly what these go by. These are a vital aspect to vaping and are where the e-liquid is both stored and vaporised from offering many different experiences for matching users exact needs. There are many different types of tanks that come in all different shapes and sizes. For starter kits, most tanks are often found to be smaller with coils fixed without the ability to be changed, therefore making them perfect for delivering a satisfying nicotine hit and flavour delivery from nic salts or 50/50 e-liquids.

When it comes to intermediate kits as well as the more advanced kits, these can be removed and changed for many varieties of different tanks as they have a 510 pin compatible with these device types and often cater for more of a sub-ohm vaping experience suited for thicker high VG e-liquids with lower nicotine levels or as we call them - Shortfills. There are many options of tanks to choose from for each necessary experience, with each providing their own benefits individually. An example of a popular starter kit with a brilliant tank included is the Lost Vape Thelema Mini 45W UB Lite Tank Kit Edition, and a great example of a more advanced kit with a sub-ohm focused tank is the Vaporesso Armour Max Kit. Further heading into advanced territory, you have rebuildable tanks allowing for full customization of every factor of your vaping experience.

MTL Tanks

MTL (Mouth-to-lung) tanks have been designed to provide a tighter draw similar to that of a cigarette and require much less power to function. Most MTL Tanks use coils with higher resistance compared to Sub Ohm Tanks and usually have a resistance above 1.0ohm. The advantages of using MTL Tanks are that they require lower power and have smaller drip tips and internal chambers of your e-liquid.

If you want an experience closest to smoking in the world of vaping, then you should consider the MTL Tank collection. We offer a wide range of popular brands such as Innokin, Aspire, Voopoo, and many more. MTL Tanks work best when used with Nic Salts, Freebase, and 50/50 E-liquids. They are often paired with higher nicotine strengths, although this depends on individual preferences.

Sub-Ohm Tanks

There are a large number of Sub-Ohm Tanks available in the industry, with these in particular delivering a DTL (Direct-to-lung) inhale and much looser initial airflow. Sub-Ohm Tanks use coils that are below 1.0ohm to deliver a much larger amount of power, resulting in a significantly greater vapour production.

With Sub-Ohm Tanks, due to the lower resistance of the coils used and the higher power required to function, there is a much faster heat-up time compared to that of a MTL Tank. This not only provides large amounts of clouds but also offers a much richer flavour experience overall. Because these Tanks require higher power, they are often equipped with much larger drip tips to accommodate the necessary airflow, while also providing the ability to adjust the airflow on the Tank itself according to your preference. When using a Sub-Ohm Tank, it is best to use thicker Shortfill e-liquids to allow the tank to function optimally. Rebuildable Tanks

Rebuildable Tanks come in various shapes and sizes. Also known as RTAs, these offer the most customization over your vaping experience that you will find within the tank section. Not only do these tanks offer the ability for users to build their own coils, but they also allow fine-tuning of the whole experience by adjusting airflow, coil resistance, and wicking material to their liking with utmost precision.

There are RTA’s that can deliver a DL vaping experience, as well as MTL RTAs giving a much tighter draw closer to that of smoking, offering a wide variety of vaping styles to choose from. There are also RDAs and RDTAs, each with many different features delivering their own unique vaping style. These tanks are often favoured by more advanced vapers who enjoy experimenting with different options and setups tailored to their preferences.
