Unregulated mods are for advanced vapers because they are what we call; ‘Mechanical Mods’ due to the fact that there is no chipset involved as it’s just a direct connection between your battery and the atomiser you choose so knowledge of Ohm's Law and advanced battery safety knowledge is recommended before purchasing and using an unregulated mod.

Many vapers prefer unregulated or ‘Mech Mods’ due to fact there’s no chipset involved so you get the maximum power output directly from the battery and this power output is totally dependant on the state of charge of the battery, there’s no buttons or screens to adjust the power or settings just the raw power from your battery to your atomiser. 

This does however come with some drawbacks and the main reasons unregulated mods are for advanced users only is due to the fact there are no safety controls like you would get with a regulated mod for instance.
